Great Beaufort hideout for two, just one block from Front Street. Enjoy strolling and bike riding along the Beaufort waterfront to restaurants, coffee shop, wine bar, great shopping, museums, historic sites and ferries to barrier island beaches. Convenient and comfortable, the cottage is part of a charming duplex built in 1950, with knotty pine walls and ceilings, wood floors and a screened porch. Boat trailer parking is available, so bring your boat if you like. We can also provide a boat slip ($25 per day).
Clean, simple and comfortably furnished, with a fully equipped kitchen, wireless internet and a bluetooth speaker for music from your personal devices. The screened porch is wonderful for relaxing outdoors (morning coffee, happy hour, lunch, great anytime). The screened porch is shared with the other side of the duplex, which is occupied occasionally. Feel free to do laundry. Washer and dryer are located in the garage. The washer and dryer are also shared with the other side.

You can also come and go through the garage during your stay. We can provide additional parking close by for your boat/trailer. We can also provide a boat slip for $25 per day.
Interaction with Guests
You'll have the cottage to yourself, but please call us if you have questions or if you'd like advice or suggestions. We're happy to help!
The location is tucked away yet wonderfully close to Front Street and convenient to everything in downtown historic Beaufort. You can easily ride bikes and walk to the waterfront.
Parking is scarce along the Beaufort waterfront, so you may prefer to ride bikes around town. We have two bicycles for guests to use. There is also a trolley that makes a continuous loop and only costs $1. You can get on the trolley at Front Street Village beside the public boat ramp on Front Street or get on at any stop along Front Street.

This cottage is lovely, tucked away off the road in a quiet cluster of three homes. There is private parking (including a garage which we didn't need to use) and a very nice screened in porch - perfect for enjoying morning coffee! The interior is nicely appointed and has the beach cottage feel. The kitchen has everything you need to be self-sufficient and the provided breakfast items were fabulous. It was also nice to have the dishwasher so we didn't have to do all the dishes by hand. The bedroom is cozy and has ample closet space, a desk and a bench for sitting or holding open suitcases. The bed is comfortable with nice linens. The bathroom is also nice with a large mirror with good lighting, plenty of storage space for toiletries and makeup, and a nice shower. Plenty of linens are provided including beach towels which was perfect for our trip to one of the local islands - which I would definitely recommend. Go to Shackleford! All in all, it was a perfect weekend getaway and we enjoyed our stay very much.
Thank you Anastasia for the detailed review! That will be really helpful to future guests. You are so right that the barrier islands... Carrot Island, Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout are a special treat, not to be missed! Pristine beaches, wildlife, sparkling water and no crowds are far better than any of the public beaches, and just a short ferry ride from downtown Beaufort!
Cozy spot. Kitchen well stocked - ate breakfast in the whole (website hidden) book was spot on for restaurants.
We arrived at Barbara and Eddy's Beaufort Cottage for two after a frustrating day of travel to find just the sweetest, most charming little home away from home you could imagine. We very much appreciated the chocolate left for us, and a listing of area restaurants and places to visit. The weather was unseasonably cold for that area of North Carolina, and we were pleased that the apartment stayed cozy and warm and that there was plenty of hot water! Another nice thing was that Barbara and Eddy had left some OJ, eggs and English Muffins in the refrigerator for us so we did not have to immediately go out and shop for breakfast items. The bed was great, and there were several comfortable places to sit with lamps for reading, which we really appreciated.
Beaufort Cottage for Two was wonderful! The Cottage was exactly as described and the Myers were great to work with! I will absolutely be staying here again.
Very comfortable cottage with everything you could need for a vacation in Beaufort. Hosts provided breakfast foods and the use of anything in their kitchen for preparing meals. They also left brochures about things to do and restaurant recommendations. The bikes were helpful as it is a bit of a long walk to town and parking one's car in town is not so easy on a beautiful weekend. It is a lovely, flat, safe area to bicycle. Enjoyed the screen porch!
This was our second visit! We love this cottage and will book again soon. It's clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The hosts are fantastic to work with.
The NC coast is a great place to call home. We love everything about it, from the fresh seafood to the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, boating, fishing and picnicking, surrounded by beautiful wildlife and wonderful, salty water everywhere.
We hope you'll make our cottage your "home away from home" in Beaufort. You'll appreciate the location, amenities and ambiance of this private little hideout. The location (one block from Front Street) is convenient for strolling and riding bikes along the Beaufort waterfront to the historic district, shops and restaurants. It's also very close to the public boat ramp and picnic area on Front Street, so bring your boat if you like. We have parking for your boat trailer. A boat slip is also available for $25 per day.
The rental cottage is half of a cute duplex built in 1950. The other side is occupied only occasionally by our family (not a rental). The screened porch is shared, although it's very likely you'll have it to yourself.
We have wireless internet and a bluetooth speaker (no tv...maybe later). The kitchen is fully equipped and is stocked with basic condiments.
We hope you enjoy our little spot in Beaufort!
