The location is tucked away yet wonderfully close to Front Street and convenient to everything in downtown historic Beaufort. You can easily ride bikes and walk to the waterfront.
Parking is scarce along the Beaufort waterfront, so you may prefer to ride bikes around town. We have two bicycles for guests to use. There is also a trolley that makes a continuous loop and only costs $1. You can get on the trolley at Front Street Village beside the public boat ramp on Front Street or get on at any stop along Front Street.

Barbara and Eddy's cottage was a great get away! The house was very clean with lots of extras. The kitchen was fully stocked, better than many of my friends' permanent homes! We felt very welcome and at ease in the cottage. The directions to the house were great, the location was perfect for us. We brought our bikes from home, but there were bikes available for us to borrow too. We didn't drive anywhere, that was wonderful too. I wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely try and return for another visit.
My husband and I rented this cottage for Fourth of July weekend, as part of a vacation road trip. Beaufort is a super cute little town right near many easy-to-explore barrier islands. The cottage is about 1.3 miles from downtown proper, so you will need to walk or drive in and back to experience that. The hosts had everything set up for us to make our stay easy-even beach towels! Private parking and lots of space inside the cottage to chill out after a day at the beach.
Barbara and Eddy could not have made my husband and I feel more at home! The cottage was perfectly cozy and inviting. Everything from the décor, the lighting, the curated furniture and special touches truly made this an enjoyable experience. This was also our first Air BNB experience and while we were hesitant to try, we are so glad we did. It felt like home away from home. The description is completely accurate. No surprises with the cottage at all. Upon entering, my husband was surprised to see there was no TV. I had failed to mention that ;) and I am so glad there was not. It was one less distraction and really helped us relax and enjoy each others company. The quaint and friendly downtown area of Beaufort is a short walk or drive away. They had bicycles in the garage but we ended up driving due to how hot it was. We spent our days on the beach (Atlantic Beach) and our evenings eating and hopping around Beaufort. There are some great restaurants there with live music. It is very peaceful and fun to watch the boats pass by. We tried a couple of new places on this trip. Dock House was little to be desired, but def. try Clawsons. You have to try Beaufort Grocery Co. for brunch. Hands down, the best brunch ever. The cottage reminded me of the place my grandmother used to own at beach but had to sell, so it was very comforting and almost emotional for me. They supplied eggs, English muffins, organic condiments and OJ! It was such a treat and def. not expected. The home was very clean and we had everything we needed. I will def. be telling my friends and family about this lovely cottage!
The cottage is spacious, clean, and comfortable. It's well-decorated and has everything you need. I was without a car for much of my stay and was able to get everywhere on my bicycle. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved staying at Barbara & Eddy's cottage. Very comfortable & homey. Loved the books on the sideboard & the blueberries, organic eggs & available condiments! Thank you !
Wow!!! Where to start?? This was a great experience from beginning to end. The location was great - easy biking distance to Beaufort's main street, quick access to anywhere one would want to go via car, fantastic for walks in the evening.
Everything one could possibly think of was supplied. We cooked one night and didn't have to worry about anything from oil to condiments to pots to plates. The home was roomy and had plenty of comfy places to unwind - including the screened-in porch.
Check-in and check-out were both smooth and hassle-free. We could take our time with both of these which was an added plus - especially on a busy holiday weekend. Barbara and Eddy are excellent hosts and this experience ranks as one of the best I have had from AirBnB. If I would rank it on stars - it would be at least two more than the highest possible ranking of five-stars. I would definitely stay hear again and will tell anyone looking for a place to stay in Beaufort about this absolute gem!
Lovely and peaceful cottage! Barbara and Eddy are very friendly and they were available when we had questions. The cottage is clean and so comfortable. The front porch is a lovely spot to sip on coffee in the morning. The neighborhood is very quaint. We had a great time biking around Beaufort. Breakfast ingredients were provided which was so thoughtful. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone visiting Beaufort.
