Recently finished his diplomatic appointment as Senior Regional Trade Commissioner for North-America West at the Ministry of Economy and Trade where he was overlooking a business portfolio of 4.5 billion dollars of trilateral yearly trade in average. Now he is leading the operations in the Americas of a Social Responsible Company dedicated to that innovates smart clean cookstoves and other products that enable families to live smarter and save money, while reducing climate change, and creating new economic opportunities.
Emilio has more than 20 years of experience leading and coordinating large international commercial projects with private corporations, foreign ministries, and global conglomerates. Emilio’s proven record of meeting multi-million dollar goals when dealing with high-pressure projects, demand of fast results, tight schedules, budgets and deadlines has made him an asset on a wide spectrum of international positions such as: Senior Advisor on international trade and commerce to the Cabinet Office of Japan, Deputy Chief of Protocol for the International Olympic Committee (VANOC), Director at several business organizations in Canada, US and Mexico. He has also volunteered a considerable amount of his time to emergency relief organizations and educational institutions. Emilio holds a Business degree (cum laude) from the University in San Diego, and also post- graduates degrees and courses like International Law and Commerce from the Australian National University, as well as Marketing and Finance form the ITESM in Mexico. He enjoys hang-gliding, scuba diving and playing polo.
