Safe, quiet, comfy stay, perfect spot on wilderness edge. Pay 28 nights, stay 31. Discount for longer stays. Walk to village, 5 min drive to mall or Park Visitors Center. Large studio, own bath, shower, cooking corner (see below), fridge, A/C, TV, closet, foyer, artisan tile floors. Cleaned & disinfected. On the ridge overlooking JT National Park and Village. This is the North Wing of a 1950's ranch house on 15 acres. Miles of open spaces & hikes at your door, yet close to everything.

The space
You have a large bedroom (about 220 sq ft) with a full size bed, vintage roll top desk, private bath and shower, cooking corner (hotplate, microwave, toaster, electric skillet, fridge with freezer, pots, pans, dishes, utensils) window A/C unit in summer. 100 Mbps WiFi, 24" HDMI TV with Spectrum TV Stream. With the entrance foyer (second room with a sleeper sofa) the total is 475 sq ft. Off the bathroom is a walk-in closet with ironing board and iron.
There is no full kitchen or stove or separate sink for washing dishes. We've put a small plastic wash tub and dish drainer in so you don't have to wash dishes directly in the bathroom sink.
The studio comprises about 475 sq fit in its own private space with a private entrance. This is a large property and there may be other people staying nearby. The house has two other wings, the "main house" which is also a rental, and the "casita," lodgings for Greg the caretaker.

Each pet counts as 1 guest, please notify us about it when booking, and include them in the total number of guests. We ask you to keep pets in the west veranda hallway bedroom. Caretaker may be able to arrange a bed for the traveling dog or cat.

Guest access
You have your own space. You also have access to the grounds and the pool. Please ask caretaker to access the laundry room.
It's easiest to find your entry door from the Sunny Vista side. It's just to the right of the garages that are on your left. On the right end (south wing) is the Casita where the caretaker Greg stays. He may be there to give you the key and will also leave your key in a lockbox on your door.
There is lighting at night for your doorway.
You can park right in front of your unit.
It's just 1/3 of a mile north of Hwy 62 on Sunny Vista Rd, about 1.5 miles (5 min) from National Park Visitor Center.
Guests should be very careful where the ridge behind the house slopes into the wash. In some parts there is a sheer cliff down into the ravine, this includes the top of Juniper Rd. Stay atop the ridge. Access to the wash is via Sunny Vista Rd

Other things to note
Window Air conditioner unit and swimming pool in summer, baseboard electric heaters in winter.

Neighborhood highlights

Our neighbors mostly seem to be rabbits, doves, quail, or squirrels. The roadrunner and coyote come around too. Out here we are guests of Mother Nature.

Wear shoes outdoors as there may be cactus spines about.
Don't let children wander out in the desert. It's easiest to go for a walk East or West along the ridge, but it's also easier to lose sight of the house in those directions. Hiking across the wash to the north you can see the house atop the ridge from a long ways. If anyone gets lost, they should go to the highway. The house is visible from there.

Check out my guidebook for nearby shops and restaurants. Glad to help out when we can, one of us is usually at the house. I've had so many really nice guests, and I like to learn a little from each one, while realizing your time is short on your visit and you have your program to fulfill.
