The Space

Owl House Farm is an early 1900's Victorian Foursquare turned urban homestead situated on the east side of Denver's historic Capitol HIll, near the always fashionable Cheeseman Park. Fresh fruit and veggies from the garden durng spring/summer/fall, fresh eggs (mostly) year round, are available to guests. We have a patio and porch for relaxing outdoors, or cozy up next to the wood burning stove in the living room.

The room itself has been remodeled in a quasi-baroque style, has a queen size bed, plenty of closet space, a small chest of drawers and a library desk for a laptop or whatever. There is also a small sun porch of the back of the room with several plants.

The house has been featured on ApartmentTherapy for more photos of the house search ApartmentTherapy Joe's Victorian Owl House

The kitchen is at your disposal as is a french press, and aeropress, a V-60, a siphon pot and a Chemex with complimentary coffee provided by Pablo's Coffee.

Owl House Farm is located two blocks to Cheeseman Park for strolling or jogging, or a perhaps a picnic, 3 blocks to grocers, ice cream, hardware store, bagels, liquor stores & bars. A short jaunt to Snarf's, Potager & Fruition and a little further to Frank Bananno's Luca di Italia, Mizuna & Bones. Wi-fi, free street parking, washer & dryer, patio with fire pit, BBQ grill, shared bath, clean towels will be provided.

Unfortunately, there is only one bathroom, and 4 residents and we all share that space. Please take this into consideration.

  • Great location, Joseph and his roomates were super nice. Really beautiful home, close to bus, supermarkets and parks, would definitively stay again

  • The house was in a convenient location, only 20 minutes walk to downtown. Comfortable room (and attached sunroom), wireless internet, towels and extra linen provided. Joseph and his housemates were not home a lot, but were ultra helpful when we did run into each other. Joseph even shouted me Vietnamese dinner when I first arrived, late after missing a flight. Highly recommended.

  • Definitely the best airbnb experience that I have had. I got in the latest and he was super accommodating. The bed is large is comfortable, the room has everything one could need, and the house is very cool. Joe happened to be around and hosting a dinner party and invited me along. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Parking kind of sucks in the area, but he mentioned that if you go closer to Cheeseman Park, it is a lot easier - great suggestion.

  • I had an absolutely great 8 day stay at the Owl House Farm. Joseph is a very nice guy and I found all his roommates the same. The room is great and it's a fantastically kept house. It's also in a great part of town and it's easy to walk to a lot of bars/restaurants and most importantly, coffee shops. It was a great time.

  • I loved my week in Denver ! This house has a lot of charm and character, the garden is great with its ducks and hens inhabitants (that lay delicious eggs, too) and the roommates there are all very sweet and eager to recommend things to do. Many cafes and restaurants neighborhood just lovely, it is also well situated and allows to discover the city by foot ! Highly recommended.

  • Totally fine. I didn't see any of the roomies much, but they were quiet and respectful. I didn't want to socialize much since, for me, being a way from home was a time for solitude. So that was great. The house is interesting and comfortable. The bed comfy. And the house was toasty warm on a snowy night.

  • My husband and I had a great stay at Owl House Farm. We loved the location and quick access to Cheeseman Park and the Colfax area. The room was comfortable, clean and the bed was comfy. Personally, I could not get enough of the wonderful portraits that line the walls leading up stairwell (created by Joseph and his sister Amy). The whole house is a feast for the eyes with outstanding personal style.

  • Nice house, in a nice part of town, with lots of interesting stuff to look at, kind of like an antique shop of curiosities. The room was great; the bed was comfortable; the ducks and chickens were pretty quiet. My friend and I only saw Joe and his roommates for a few minutes after we first arrived, but they all seemed very nice and relaxed.

  • The Owl House farm was more than I could have hoped for. I needed a last minute place to stay and Joe was quick to reply and get my reservation squared away. When I arrived he and his roommates were wonderfully inviting and the place was clean and comfortable. We ended up sitting around swapping stories for a bit, and I was given a tour of the backyard and art studio. I am so glad I stayed at Owl Hose over the other motel options in the neighborhood. I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely stay at the Owl House on my next trip to Denver. Thanks Joe!
