  • The apartment is amazing. The terrace is a wonderful place to unwind with a glass of wine and jamon. Be prepared to climb 5 flights of steep, uneven stairs but it is worth it. Anouk is wonderful and easy to work with. She made the experience very easy and we would definitely recommend her to anyone.

  • Excellent location. Fantastic views of the Plaza Mayor. Everything in the apartment worked great! Anouk made the whole process smooth and easy and even gives a notebook of recommendations (restaurants, places to see, nightlife). I would give this six stars if I could! Thanks, Anouk! I will be staying here on every subsequent trip to Madrid!

  • Anouk was very friendly and very very helpfull to us. We were able to check in early and on the day of the check out, she arranged a place nearby where we could store our luggage. The appartment was wonderfull, clean and the location was perfect. Thank you Anouk for making our stay in Madrid a great experience. Hopefully we will be back sometime!

  • This is a really excellent place to be in - Plaza Mayor is centrally located between many Metro stations, excellent shopping areas, the Mercado de San Miguel, the Prado, Reina Sofia, Palacio Real, and other many attractions. The place itself is historic - the Inquisition occurred here, as one painting in the Prado depicted.

The apartment is quite cute and quaint, having that authentic feel of old Spain interspersed with some strokes of modernity. The top floor has an excellent view of the city, with tables and chairs that people can have coffee or drinks on. The loft is the best place to sleep in my humble opinion, although any other place is fine. The bathroom has some really interesting options like red and disco lights, although it could use shower curtains.

Anouk and her staff were extremely well responsive and accommodating to our needs - we arrived late and left early and they were quite flexible with our schedule. We could not have asked for a better group of people to handle us during our stay.

My only major comment is accessibility from the ground floor. The apartment is located on the fourth floor and there are no elevators to bring you up. If you have lots of luggage or have difficulties climbing up a flight of stairs, be prepared to sweat a lot even during late fall/winter.

  • Absolutely charming little apartment! Probably more designed for 4 than 6 people, but it has HUGE amounts of character and couldn't have been better positioned. The roof terrace is an absolute treat! Anouk was very helpful. Trip couldn't have been easier. Big thumbs up from all 6 of us as we had a great time!

  • This quirky and fun apartment really made our stay in Madrid an awesome one -- incredible views from the rooftop, that we enjoyed frequently, and close to the heart of everything, including little markets to pick up food, drinks, etc. They made check in/out easy, and even worked with our schedule to make it easier, which was much appreciated.

  • Perfect location in the heart of Madrid. Amazing views, wonderful terrace, ecclectic accomodations- simply beautiful. We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The only thing to keep in mind for groups is that there is only one bathroom (as noted) and no elevator, but that wasn't a problem for us. Puerta del Sol and La Latina metro stops are very close by, as is Mercado San Miguel (2 min walk) and La Botin restaurant (oldest restaurant in the world). Cava Baja is a short stroll from here as well and is a good location for tapas and beer. Overall a great experience in this apartment.

  • Fantastic apartment in fantastic position and Anouk was a fantastic host - she even insisted on carrying my suitcase up the 4 flights of steps to the apartment (I still feel guilty!)

I live in Madrid but I'm from the Basque Country in the north of Spain, where weather is as bad as in England and the landscape is very green. In fact, the city where I come from, Vitoria-Gasteiz, has been recognized as the European Green Capital! I lived in Los Angeles In 1997, then I moved to New York, Barcelona, and finally I ended up in Madrid, a beautifull city shinned almost everyday under a great blue sky! I'm an actress and I also manage these very nice apartments from my friends actors and artists too. I also love traveling around the world and meeting new people!!
