About This Listing
3 Bedroom Japanese house in downtown Tokyo walking distance from Harajuku, Yoyogi Park and Shibuya. 3 min walk to convenient train lines to explore the rest of the city. There is one private room available for rent on the first floor with access to living room, kitchen and bathroom on second floor.
During your stay you can expect to have all the comforts of home. A lot more relaxing than a small Japanese hotel room. There is a single bed and small Ikea pull-out couch in the room for rent that you can see in the pictures. There is a toilet on the first floor. You will have full use of the kitchen, living/dining room area and shower room located on the second floor. The master bedroom and owner's office is located on the third floor and is currently not available for rent.
***Please note, that the house is next to the train lines that run from 5am - midnight which may be bothersome if you are a light sleeper and going to bed early. If you're planning to be out sightseeing most of the day, dealing with jet lag, and sleep soundly than it probably won't be much of a problem***
There are grocery stores and restaurants close by and the popular tourist areas of Shibuya and Harajuku are within a 15min walk.
There are two major train lines, Chiyoda and Odakyu, within a 3min walk that can easily get you to anywhere else in the city.
This house was the home of Chikara CrossFit until moving into a fully dedicated studio 10mins away.
Very very convenient location. Both with 2 windows of the room and the linving (website hidden)'s unususl in Tokyo. The 1st floor with a private toilet, it's convenient and with priavacy.Michael and his girlfriend live on the third floor, both they are nice.
I was grown up near railways, so not really mind the trains noise though.Put on your ipod earphone will be a easy way to avoid it.
Michael was very responsive on email and text messages, and sent all the needed info before my trip. He has a great shared Evernote notebook with info how to get to the house and things to do in Tokyo. Very helpful. The location is great! A short walk to great attractions and city life, and a train station right near by to get to other places. The room was nice and clean. It is a small room, but for the location and the price is was great.
Great apartment and Michael was really friendly and helpful. I really loved the area, lots of great restaurants, bars, coffee, shops and so close to Yoyogi Park and Harajuku on the other side.
I would advise having ear plugs to sleep though as the bedroom is literally right on the train line.
Apartment is really clean. I hardly saw Michael and his girlfriend. Having the bottom floor to yourself is perfect.
Very good location, 3 min walking to the metro station and a local railway. The bed is quite small for 2 (so is the room, but it's supposed you won't spent much time in!). Bathroom is on the upper floor, while the toilet is next to the bedroom. Michael is a willing and kind owner, even if we haven't had many chances to socialize. All in all, a good and cheap choice in Tokyo!
Good room in a great location! Easy walk to train or subway station with convenient small stores nearby for easy pastry breakfast or last minute needs.
Michael was easy to communicate with and patiently answered my questions during our first ever airbnb stay! Room was as described. Heater worked like a charm.
The train tracks are just outside the window. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. The trains do desist between midnight and 5ish!
Michael was polite, organized and always quick to respond to emails during our stay.
The location is fantastic especially if it is your first visit to Tokyo because the house is very close to both Shibuya and Shinjuku. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here. Thanks Michael!
