Other Things to Note
Normally we have a two-night minimum stay requirement but accept one-night bookings on a case by case basis; please contact us prior to placing your booking request if requesting a reservation for one night only.
• Check in time is set at 4pm and means the time at which the apartment will be ready for your use, at the latest. However, if you arrive earlier to town we can meet you from 11am at the apartment (free of charge, is just a courtesy to our guests) to drop luggage and get the keys, so that you can start exploring Madrid right away. Between 2pm and 4pm we might not be available to meet you, since we go back home to cook and eat, but should you arrive on this gap, we can recommend you some nice place to have lunch too.
• We can also meet guests at night, but in that case we charge a late check in fee of 15 euro from 9 pm until midnight and 25 euro after midnight. If you plan to arrive after 1:30 am we won't be able to meet you (obviously if your flight is delayed we'll wait for you!!), but if you have a really late flight we can't wait up so long....
•Check-out, unless otherwise agreed with us, must be done at 11am. You can leave the keys of the apartment by the TV and close the door behind you.
•Please, don’t leave garbage on the house. You can deposit your garbage on the garbage bin that you will find outside the building, besides the front door at the evenings.
•Please wash the dishes you’ve used and leave the apartment reasonably clean and tidy.
•If something is broken or damaged during your stay, don’t wait for us to discover it once you’re gone. Please, tell us, we understand accidents may happen.
•There are old people, babies and working people living in the building, so please be considerate. Parties are not allowed under no circumstance, as well as any loud noise after 11pm or at any time in the common areas of the building (the stairs).
•Smoking is not allowed.
•Only the people who made the reservation can sleep in the apartment.
From Sep 21, 2015 - Oct 31, 2016 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
We were met on arrival by the wonderful Vanessa, a very helpful and friendly lady with a good command of English. Our hosts had already put themselves out by agreeing to meet us hours before the check-in time mentioned for the property. Vanessa did not seem at all put out when she met us, though. Also, she helped us later in the holiday to deal with Iberia, who had lost one of our bags in transit to Madrid. Without her help, we may not have got our bag back so quickly. The flat is excellent. It was more than big enough for us, a married couple and our twelve year old son. It had everything we needed for our stay and we're confident that it would have had everything necessary for a far longer stay. It's very well insulated against noise. I doubt if anyone would be disturbed by noise at any time of the day. The huge living room does not lack a view, however, since it's double-glazed windows face a busy, but narrow and attractive street. Despite being there in the middle of the summer, the air-conditioning kept us cool enough in all parts of the property. The location is wonderful! It's almost next to Puerta del Sol. The sight of the restaurants along the street and adjoining streets are guaranteed to cause any lover of Spanish cuisine to salivate. I liked the place so much that I might be tempted to stay there if I travel to Madrid alone, which would be excessive considering how big the place is.
Great apartment. Excellent location. We had a great time. Many locations within walking distance. Thank you for a great stay.
Great and spacious apartment in a very good location.
The AC in the living room is not well working but globally it was ok if you're not staying in the living room.
Felicitaciones Oscar y Vanessa!!!!
Vanessa welcomed us in front of their building in advance on our arrival day . She is a very nice host and help us to carry our heavy luggage to upstairs . Her apartment is very near to the center of old town---PUERTA DEL SOL . So it’s very convenient to go everywhere by METRO or by walking. She also gave us the best recommendations for our 2 day’s tour in MADRID . In fact we visited MUSEO NACIONAL CENTRO DE ARTE REINA SOFIA , MUSEO NACIONAL DEL PRADO AND PALACIO REAL for free with Vanessa’ guide. Her apartment is exactly how it is shown, and it is really very large , cosy and tidy . We all love interior decoration of the apartment very much . Enjoyable tour in MADRID and STRONGLY RECOMMEND !
Great apartment, great location. We were greeted by our host upon arrival and had no issues what so ever. Loved staying here. Thank you.

About the Host, Oscar&Vanessa&Elena
We welcome you to Spain and we wish you a good stay in Madrid!
Oscar works as a photographer and Vanessa studies drama and theatre production and management. However, until some years ago Oscar was an engineer and Vanessa was a M&A lawyer. And then one day we decided to turn our lifes up side down and follow our real passions.
We are best friends and on May 2012 we decided to move forward and enroll in a small business together. Vanessa had been hosting with Airbnb for 2 years by then (renting the spare room at her place in Madrid/Milan and her apartment in Barcelona) and her experience (upgraded to Superhost in early 2011) was so positive that we decided we could also help other owners that don't live in town or don't have the time to rent their properties to travelers as you. And this is what we are doing now together.
More about us, we love to travel: in 2012 Vanessa traveled to Greece with her backpack and Oscar spent a few months working in France. Last summer Oscar repeated the French experience while Vanessa explored Malaysia during a month and a half.
We are also keen in meeting new people and learning new things from them, but more importantly, we want you to feel at home at any of our apartments and that you feel that there's someone in town who cares for you:-)
We enjoy little life pleasures like riding our bicycles or growing our small organic vegetables gardens (each of us has one). We like eco-friendly environments since we care a lot about our planet.
We will help you to find you like home in this beautiful city and we look forward to having the opportunity to meet you soon!!
