The apartment is a cozy, comfortable, clean 1 bedroom in an absolutely amazing part of town. I am on the corner of 19th and Irving Place a historic (Teddy Roosevelt, Edith Wharton) neighborhood of Gramercy Park, a few short blocks from Union Square (Barnes & Noble, the Strand, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, THE Farmer’s Market) Madison Park (the Shake Shack, Tabla, 11 Madison Park), and, of course, Gramercy Park itself, plus most subways and some of the finest restaurants in Manhattan (Gramercy Tavern, Union Square Cafe, Casa Mono, Pure Food & Wine.) The apt itself is on the third floor of a beautiful building, located in the rear (which is why it is so quiet), with restored kitchen and bathroom, hard wood floors, tall ceilings, closets, AC, TV, towels, linens ,a full range of cooking and eating utensils, coffee maker. The apt sleep four people comfortably. It doesn't get better than this anywhere in the city. The dream sublet for the right person(s). Your Airbnb rate covers all rent, taxes, fees, utilities, garbage, TV, local telephone, high-speed modem. A comparable place, on Irving Place is $375/night without the amenities offered here, a comparable hotel in the area could cost even more.
If you are interested in learning more please feel free to send me a message. I am very excited to have you stay in my place and look forward to making your stay in NYC a relaxing and amazing experience.

Iggy is a great host who responded promptly to correspondence, and met me on arrival to ensure I settled in without any problems. His apt is very convenient to a range of restaurants and cafes as well as banking, retail and supermarkets. As a solo female traveller location and security is important and I felt very safe in the apt and with the local area. Union Square Subway station is close and made getting around so easy. The apt has a comfortable lounge area, a small kitchen if want to cook (but who needs to with such a selection of food options virtually a block or less away) and a comfortable double bed and bathroom with a good supply of hot water. Iggy gave me a courtesy call to check that all was OK and sorted a problem with the TV without hesitation. I can confidently recommend Iggy as a host and his apt has all that one needs. Thank you Iggy, I hope to visit again sometime.
EVERYTHING OK AT IGGY'S. THE PLACE IS NEAT, COZY AND YET PRACTICAL WITH ALL YOU COULD NEED INCLUDING TV SET AND WIFI. NOT LARGE BUT WE WERE TWO AND FITTED OUR NEEDS THOUGH (BY SHARING SPACES FOR HIS OWN ITEMS AND OURS). GOOD BASE FOR TOURING THE CITY AS IT'S LOCATED AT WALK DISTANCE FROM MANY MUST PLACES, SUBWAYS AND BUS STOPS.
IGGY GAVE US ALL ASSISTANCE AND FEEDBACK USEFUL FOR SETTLING DOWN. NEIGHBORGHOOD AND BUILDING ITSELF ARE SAFE AND QUIET.
I THINK THIS IS A GOOD OPTION FOR AN ENJOYABLE NYC STAY AND SURE I FEEL TO PROMOTE IT. LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING BACK THERE SOONEST.
Absolutely perfect location for any New York City stay. Only a few minutes walk to Union Square with a super coffee shop and wonderful brunch place across the street and one of the city's oldest bars on the corner.
The apartment was great with everything you could need. We were two and one took the double bedroom, and the other slept on the comfy fold out couch. Cable TV and WIFI second to none. The building is super safe with three locked doors between the apartment and the street.
No problems getting in or out. Iggy couldn't meet us but his friend was on hand to let us in when we both arrived late into the city at 8 or 9pm.
Would stay here again and recommend to all.
Iggy was super friendly/responsive. The location is fantastic, which is really what you're paying for. Irving Place is a great street and you're right off of Union Square.
The apartment was clean and neat - cable/wifi, clean linens/towels. The only thing I would let people know is that this apartment is small in a way that only New York apartments are small. The bedroom pretty much only fits the bed, and the living room is dominated by the futon and tv.
But this is typical for Manhattan and the pics reflect the apartment accurately. If you're looking for a bigger place, this isn't for you, but if you want a clean/quiet place to sleep in a fantastic location, Iggy's place is perfect.
Iggy's apartment is extremely well located, right next to Union Square, yet in a very quiet street with amazing restaurants and coffee shops nearby (I still daydream with my breakfasts at Irving Farm, located right in front of his building). His apartment is in the rear, which makes for a much quieter and pleasant stay. Iggy was a genuinely nice host, and even during his own trip he went as far as email me to ask if we needed anything and to make sure if his apartment was treating us good. We had a very pleasant time and absolutely no problems during our stay, but it must be said that this is Iggy's actual apartment, so you'll most likely have to share space with much of his personal items – his food will be in the fridge (you'll have space for your own items, don't worry), his bathing products will be in the bathroom and so on. We personally didn't find this to be too troublesome, but it could bother some people. All things considered, I still find Iggy's place to be an outstanding option to stay in New York – fantastic location, honest price – and I hope to stay there again next time I'm in the Big Apple. Gracias, Iggy!
The reservation was canceled 3 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Being in NY was really really great, my first time... what was also great: Iggy and his apartment. Perfect location, quiet place so you can sleep well after busy :o) days and nights. Really everything was good, me and my friend felt like at home...looking forward to come again back and of course to stay in this apartment. Iggy is a great guy very responsible with very nice communication and feed back.
Iggy's apartment is a very convenient place for us in our last visit to New York sending both our children to NYU. It is close to Union square and NYU residences around the place.
We explore NY based from this apartment. Great restaurants are also very close by. Pete's tavern and a Friend of a Farmer cafe as well as another coffee shop besides are must try. A very nice cheese shop across the street is also helpful.
Iggy is also very helpful, responds very first also when we need helps. We had a great time and spend one month at his place.
We've stayed at Iggy's apartment during 1 week,
We didn't met him personally, but he sent her friend Sandy to give us the keys and to give us some "recomendations".
Nevertheless, he responded promptly to all our messages.
Even not meeting him, in that way he was a great host.
The apartment corresponds exactly to the pictures. Small but cosy.
The location is very good, in a calm and safety area, just 5m to the subway. I really recomend it.
