I had a truly wonderful stay in this beautiful home. Mũmbi was a lovely host and her home is an oasis. I cannot recommend her place highly enough. I only had a short stay over in Nairobi but I wish that I had time to have an extended stay. The room was clean and bright and peaceful and the rest of the home and gardens were so lovely and spacious. The room had a private bathroom, which was very nice.
About the Host, Mumbi
Homeowner with two almost-grown children. Quiet and talkative in turns. Writer, theatre director, performer. Charming host and considerate guest. I read good fiction and non-fiction, enjoy hiking, dancing, knitting and I sometimes bake my own bread. I ALWAYS travel with a book by Alain de Botton.
Travel wish list includes Rio, Cuba, and pretty much any of the Caribbean Islands.
