Warning! Remote stay, you must read: AWD necessary to book this stay: If you're ok with a rugged Cave with no internet, this place is for you. This is a working farm with animals inside and outside the homestead, like the cuddly cats, Lilly the dog, and six swaggering horses who like to eat carrots. Grant is happy to share information about the lifestyle he has created here and the surrounding hiking area. During your stay, you'll be the only guests enjoying beautiful views from the Cave's roof!

Come prepared. Liquor stores in Utah are closed on Sundays. Convenience stores in Boulder, Utah 8 miles from the homestead are closed on Sundays. They have only basic items and are often out of produce and dairy. There are 3 restaurants Burr Trail Grill, Hell's Backbone Grill, and Sweetwater Kitchen which operate with unpredictable hours and are full when open. They all excellent food.

Grant is a homesteader in Deer Creek, 7 miles outside Boulder, Utah. Land activist, large-scape artist, grower of food, and lover of music, he did all the blasting and carving of this incredible sculpture house himself, and learned to use dynamite working as a uranium miner in the late 70’s. "The rock house is like living inside of a sculpture, inside of the carved space." Come explore!
