very comfortable home situated in the country, but a very convenient driving distance into downtown Ithaca. This was the perfect midway point for a rendez vous of friends....from Ottawa and Philadelphia. Comfortable amentities, beds, kitchen, hot tub....beautiful views. Only suggestion would be to add more seating in LR and perhaps an area rug....we thank you Brian and family for the use of your home...
Beautiful location and nice, large house. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return and recommend to others.
Great communication via email and text.
Lovely house. We only wished we had three days not two.
Host responded to any inquiry, usually within hours.
The house is a scenic ten minute drive from downtown Ithaca and was a great place to enjoy a fall weekend. The views of farmland and woods from the house itself are beautiful. The side porch (with the hot tub!) and living room are great places to relax. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet while knowing that we were not too far away from the relative excitement of Ithaca if we wanted it. The house was very clean and well maintained. Though we did not have the opportunity to meet Brian, he was very prompt responding to our queries and had clear instructions for us. Thanks for the great stay, Brian!
We rented Brians place the weekend we went to drop our freshman daughter off at Cornell. It was perfect, immaculate and exactly as described. We will be staying there in the future when we go to visit our daughter. Property is well maintained and everything in the house is like brand new. It is only a short drive from Ithaca's downtown. Thanks to Brian, great place to stay!
Great House. Just as described. Lovely setting with lots of acres to walk around. Very cleanly and everything we needed was provided (linen, kitchen equipment). Brian was great to deal with and responsive to email. Felt like plenty of room for 5 of us. Sitting in the hot tub on the deck and staring out into the woods was wonderful. Short drive to Ithaca and great state parks. Good base for exploring Finger Lakes region. Sulfur smell was somewhat strong in the bathroom during out visit. Didn't really bother me but I could imagine some people not liking it.
The house was lovely--clean and spacious and light. The land is really wonderful with woods and open spaces. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings and our walks during the day. Brian was a great host--he responded to our questions right away, and he was really friendly and flexible--he clearly wanted us to feel at home.
We wanted to attend the grassroots festival in Trumansburg. Brian's house was close and convenient. House was as advertised, clean, functional and plenty of room.
We would have preferred to not have the sulfur smell in the water, but plenty of drinking water was provided.
Brian was easy to work with.
We hope to be back next year.
Brian is a wonderful host. My team mates and I traveled to Ithaca to race in the Fingerlakes dragon boat festival. The house far exceeded my expectations! After a long day of racing, it was so nice to go back to his place just relax. If you're traveling to Ithaca and need a place to stay, I highly recommend staying at Brian's. You won't regret it!
The Finger Lakes is the most amazing area!! Swimming every day in the most wonderful natural lakes, streams, waterfalls - fresh produce everywhere from Amish farms to local farms - incredible farmers markets - wineries - the glorious hazelnut cafe very nearby. Brian's Location is perfection!
