About this listing
Cosy room with skylight, in a lovely house 2.6 miles from Leeds city centre.
This charming attic room has been fully refurbished. It has delightfully polished wooden beams and a velux window with a blackout blind.
The house has just been lovingly renovated and decorated to a high standard. Downstairs there is a living room, a dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen all available for your use. On the first floor there is a small bathroom featuring a loo and a sink. On your floor there is a brand new bathroom with a shower and bath.
The house is on a friendly street with lots of cats (it was once dubbed Britain's Friendliest Street!). It's in the Armley district of Leeds, which is a working class area with lots of character. The house is 2.5 miles from the centre of Leeds and one hour’s drive to York, Manchester,Sheffield. It’s close to the city of Bradford and about thirty minute's drive from Haworth, the home of the Brontes.
In Leeds City Centre you will love the shopping arcades such as the Victoria Quarter, the restaurants, theatres, art galleries, bars and clubs. Also, Leeds has a vibrant music scene. It's easy to get into the city centre. You could drive there in ten minutes, take a bus from the end of the street (two minutes' walk from the house) or take a taxi for around £5.
If you have a car (you can park it in the street outside the house) or take the train you can enjoy the choice of countryside and historical locations that you can visit with less than an hour's drive, and the stunning coastal views of the North East coast at two hour's drive.
Other Things to Note
Our friend Richard will arrange check in times with you, and he will be the person who will show you round and help you with anything you need.
It will be lovely to have you stay!
We ask our guests not to smoke in the house and to make yourselves at home.
Please also tidy up after yourselves in the communal areas as their may be other guests staying.
This is a very simple room. Oddly it does not look remotely like the picture. With the host not on site during my stay and other people staying it also felt a little odd that there was no way to secure my room when not in it. Having said that I cannot find fault with the room in itself-it was quiet, clean and there the kitchen etc was well equiped.
The hosts are not living in this house but every question that we have will be answered through SMS and the website. The hosts make effort to contact us before moving in to ensure that we have a smooth transition.
The house is comfortable and near the bus stop. There is breakfast provided and you can cook in the kitchen! I enjoyed my stay here. (:
Ive stayed in Hotels that were nowhere near as accommodating as this Air BnB. Great room, cosy, homely and very clean also the galaxy bar on the pillow was a lovely treat.
The house itself was great allowing for me to stay comfortably for a week whilst bedding myself in a new city, the kitchen was great and was great having typical sundries already here allowing me to cook a few meals without having to buy too much in for such a short stay.
House itself was very spacious I enjoyed meeting a lovely Dutch family that arrived in my last couple of days here as they were very friendly and with the house itself being so well laid out we all had our own privacy when needed.
Very much would recommend this host as it is close to the centre of Leeds and provides everything you would want. Karen herself remained in contact throughout and even assisted me when I made an error in the booking and needed an extra nights stay no hassle at all.
Karen was amazing keeping in touch and directions and Richard was waiting for us to show us in, the stay was amazing, loved ever moment so easy and not stressful! Thanks
Used Karren's place before. As usual, all went well and will have no hesitation to book again.

About the Host, Karren
I am a writer and publisher, and recently I moved from the UK to the Iberian peninsula with my partner Chris, for the climate and wonderful culture. We've been pioneering "slow travel" - living and working in a place for a few months to really savour the experience, and then moving on. We've been working as Airbnb hosts while we do this, and our first Airbnb home in Seville was an incredible success. We chose somewhere beautiful and very close to the main cultural attractions, and our guests adored it as much as we did. We stayed in Seville for seven months - it was paradise! - then we went to Portugal and lived by the sea at Cascais, and now we are living in the mountains near Malaga. We also realised that we could offer Chris's house in Leeds on Airbnb with the help of our neighbours and that's going very well indeed - people seem to appreciate a cosy home as an alternative to staying in a hotel. We also stay in other Airbnb homes a lot when we travel - I guess you could call us Airbnb addicts!
