Great location
90% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
The Starlander resides within a 1920s townhouse that's part home (mine), part guest house, part experimental art project, and a little bit library (I have a few books). I've travelled to over 70 countries, and my favorite stays were not in hotels, but in small guest houses and hostels with private rooms available. I liked the home-grown character of these places, and the chance to interact with the hosts and other guests. I hope to give others a similar opportunity in Savannah at the Starlander.

The space
I call this one "The Coffee Suite" because it's downstairs along with the full kitchen and front sitting room (and front porch), and therefore the most convenient suite for getting up and enjoying your first cup of coffee in the morning!

To be clear - YES - the suite includes its own private bathroom accessed only by those staying in the Coffee Suite.

Please note that for the time being the Coffee Suite is available to solo travelers only. Please do not inquire about extra guests. If you need a suite for two, please see the listings for the upstairs suites - the Map Suite and the XL Suite.

Where you’ll be

Savannah, Georgia, United States

The walkable Starland District is home to creative professionals, art students, restaurants, and galleries (and soon a food truck court and a couple of micro-breweries). It lies within the Thomas Square Historic District, the first "streetcar suburb" of Savannah, just south of downtown proper. Together, they are the coolest upcoming area of Savannah - new stuff is popping up all the time.

I'm a freelance consultant/designer (I have masters degrees in city planning and urban design), writer, and entrepreneur in Savannah, Georgia. I love this city and enjoy helping others to get to know it. I've done a ton of travelling in the past (about 70 countries by my count) but I've decided to put my roots down here, so that should say something about how great Savannah is!
