Hi ... I hope I can be your host and offer a great experience staying in my city centre apartment!
I check my email constantly and endeavour to reply to all emails very promptly as I know it helps you plan ... PLEASE CONTACT ME TO CONFIRM AVAILABILITY BEFORE YOU SEND A BOOKING REQUEST ... Thanks!
This listing is for a very comfortable double couch bed, (that sleeps two and I've classified it a real bed as it's better than most!) in my living room where you will have SOLE use of at night for sleeping with full bed linen and towels provided. In the daytime as its my living room its a shared space :)
In this apartment I also offer two double rooms ('Dublin city centre home from home' 3 and 4), each with a large bed for two people.
People book through airbnb to get local information and a friendly welcome in your host's home rather than a neutral sterile apartment - I hope you will enjoy your stay in my home with myself and any other guests visiting Dublin. Dublin is a great city - ready to welcome you!
I usually offer my couch only when 'Dublin city centre home from home 3 & 4' is unavailable and particularly for short stays of one or maximum two nights ... so check the availability of each listing on it's calender as they can differ ..... - its always worthwhile to message me anyway - thanks!
It's nice to know who might be coming to stay so if you can please fill me in just a little on your group and your overall travel plans!
I live in Dublin city centre in Smithfield just 10 mins walk from the heart of Dublin and it's principal 'boulevard' O'Connell Street and the cool social/bar/restaurant quarter - Temple Bar.
I am 4 minutes walk from the Luas (tram) Red line which is a direct link to the National Convention Centre.
In addition there is a host of shops/restaurants/bars located just steps from your Dublin home from home - see the gallery of pics for some cool places at your doorstep!
I have a lot of experience in hosting people and showing people my city – I love talking about recent irish history and my apartment looks onto the Four Courts building – one of the many historical buildings in Dublin! I can leave you to your own schedule or am happy to suggest good things to do and see, both in Dublin and in the surrounding countryside and beyond .... from galleries and museums to shopping to country / historical walks – just ask – I am happy to point you in the right direction – Dublin awaits you!
There are many tourist attractions such as Jameson Distillery and National Museum, Collins Barracks along with the famous Cobblestone Bar, renowned for irish music and a good pint of Guinness, right at your doorstep! Just across Dublin's prinicpal river, the Liffey, is St. James' Gate - home of Guinness since 1759!

My stay at Rory's was great ! I was there while I was searching for a permanent accomodation for my Erasmus year, and Rory helped me a lot during my first days and even after.
I am pretty sure he is one of the nicest, funniest, friendliest and most helpful host in the world !
Rory is a great host and also a very friendly person! It was a pleasure to meet you Rory! Hope to see you again soon.
Rory is a fabulous guy, really kind and accommodating! He provided great directions, suggestions, and tour information. Moving us to a larger room when there was space was really kind. The apartment is not spotless but it is still a great place to crash and enjoy the company.
Lovely experience. Rory is lovely host. A nice and cosy room. I was only in town for a short period but Rory was not intrusive and had breakfast set out, guide map and advice on things to do in Dublin, organised and efficient service. He added to my lovely Dublin experience!
