I hope I can be your host and offer a great experience staying in my city centre apartment! Recently awarded 'Excellence' by Tripadvisor!

l check my email constantly and endeavour to reply to all emails very promptly as I know it helps you plan ... PLEASE CONTACT ME TO CONFIRM AVAILABILITY BEFORE YOU SEND A BOOKING REQUEST ... Thanks so much!

This listing is for my entire apartment which consists of two double bedrooms and two large comfortable double couchbeds in the livingroom - accommodating a maximum of 8 guests - though usually I say 6 with comfort!

You also have a well equipped kitchen, a large comfortably furnished living room with flat screen TV, satellite channels and a long balcony with great views of Dublin city centre and the Four Courts!

When we meet I will give you a lot of local recommendations but see the Guidebook here on my listing for some of those tips in advance!

People book through airbnb to get local information and a friendly welcome in your host's home rather than a neutral sterile apartment - when you book the whole apartment you will be free to enjoy it solely but the warm welcome is always offered!
To welcome you, I provide basic breakfast items for you for the first morning - there are many supermarkets within a few minutes' walk along with a corner store / pizza place in my building!

These accommodations are also listed separately: Dublin Centre Home from Home Rooms 1 & 2.

There is a nice bathroom (NEWLY REFURBISHED) with an electric shower offering unlimited hot water for showers!

If you are not looking to rent the entire apartment please check individual listings for availability as often some of the rooms will be available ...

I am within very easy walking distance of anywhere in the city centre! If you want to use public transport a bus stop to the city centre is 2 minute's walk away and I am 4 minutes' walk from the Luas (tram) Red line from where you can have a direct link to the National Convention Centre if you are attending a convention there.

Please check the availability of each listing I offer on it's calender as they can differ ..... thanks! - its always worthwhile to message me anyway ... as I can sometimes have availability at the last minute!

If you would like any hints on what to do around Dublin or indeed in planning an itinerary around just get in touch! I also love history and have a keen interest in photography and am happy to point you towards some Dublin gems!

It's nice to know who might be coming to stay so if you can please fill me in just a little on your group and your overall travel plans!

I live in Dublin city centre in Smithfield just 10 mins walk from the heart of Dublin and it's principal 'boulevard' O'Connell Street and the cool social/bar/restaurant quarter - Temple Bar.

In addition there is a host of shops/restaurants/bars located just steps from your Dublin home from home - see the gallery of pics for some cool places at your doorstep!

I have a lot of experience in hosting people and showing people my city – I love talking about recent Irish history and my apartment looks onto the Four Courts building – one of the many historical buildings in Dublin! I can leave you to your own schedule or am happy to suggest good things to do and see, both in Dublin and in the surrounding countryside and beyond .... from galleries and museums to shopping to country / historical walks – just ask – I am happy to point you in the right direction – Dublin awaits you!

There are many tourist attractions such as Jameson Distillery and National Museum, Collins Barracks along with the famous Cobblestone Bar, renowned for Irish music and a great pint of Guinness in Delaney's, right at your doorstep! Just across Dublin's principal river, the Liffey, is St. James' Gate - home of Guinness since 1759!

Parking is available at an additional cost - I have negotiated a reduced 24 hour fee of €10 at a nearby secure carpark or you can opt for the overnight rate of €4 from 18.00- 08.00.

My facilities:

- free wifi,
- hairdryer,
- flat screen TV,
- Satellite channels
- luggage scales,
- Dublin guidebook,
- free tourist map,
- all towels and bedlinen provided,
- travel cot

The neighborhood

The neighbourhood is full of bars, restaurants, local shops, with the Jameson Distillery, the Cobblestone Bar for great Irish music, Delaney's Bar for great Guinness, Cafe Oasis for tasty and reasonably priced food and St Michan's Church all 5 minutes away! Did I mention that there is a 'Costcutter convenience store / Mizzoni's Pizza' at the corner of the building? ;)

Getting around

83/83A city bus stop only 2 minutes' walk away and the Luas Red Line stop at Four Courts just 4 minutes' walk!

House Rules
No smoking
Not suitable for pets
No parties or events
May not be safe or suitable for infants (Under 2 years)

If you arrive after 11 pm a small fee of 10 euro is payable on arrival.

Smoking from my balcony only.

Please note that the apartment building has some families living there so the apartment is not a party house out of respect of this - however it is very centrally located with many great nearby bars and restaurants and only 10-15 minutes' walk from Temple Bar :) Any infraction of this rule will result in immediate termination of your stay in the apartment - this is to ensure quiet enjoyment of the apartment for all - thanks!

Often a factor influencing my decision to host guests will be the number of people in a group. If you have your booking request confirmed, whilst you can reduce the number of guests in your group, it is most likely that the cost will remain the same as a result of this. This is particularly true for weekend bookings.

Check-in/out times are flexible - I always do my best to suit guests - however it may not be possible always to offer an early check-in or late check out time. If the apartment is booked the night before I can sometimes receive your luggage early with the apartment being ready for you later that afternoon (3-4 pm) . If I cannot receive your bags early I will direct you to left luggage services just beside the airport bus shuttle stops in the city centre. You are free then to enjoy your first day in Dublin!

When you arrive I will give you a set of keys for your own convenience - as these are expensive to replace I just ask for a 20 euro refundable deposit.

I can supply a travel cot for babies - however the apartment is not proofed for children - sockets are not covered and lower presses are not locked etc - parental supervision is necessary :)

Please note all guests must be in possession of a valid visa to visit Ireland - I will not assist in any formal sponsorship process for a tourist or other visa.

The apartment is perfect for large groups (7 people for us). It's located only 10 minutes away from the Liffey River and the bars of Temple Bar. Convenience store down the building, 24/7 shop 5-minutes from the block. I would recommend this place to my friends when they come to Dublin.
