The neighborhood

Directions to 5 Mount Rose Lane, Sunriver, from Route 97 from the north: GPS = 5 Mountain Rose Lane, Sunriver, OR 90070. Take Rt 97, "Parkway" over Bend, continue south on Rt 97 10 miles to Exit 151, Cottonwood Road, right off the highway, stay right when the exit ramp splits, go 1 mile into Sunriver. TV: Local Stations
Turn on cable box with silver remote that says “Bendbroadband” on the bottom by clicking top right, “CBL” button. Use this remote to change channels. Turn off cable box by clicking the top right, “CBL” button.
Turn on TV with small black remote that has the “V” Vizio logo on it by clicking the button at the very top right, with a red circle on it. Use this remote to adjust the volume. Turn off TV with same remote, same button at the top, right. Please leave the remotes on the coffee table in the living so I can find them. Please do not turn on or adjust anything with the computer that sits behind the TV. Thanks.

Heat and Air Conditioning: Can be adjusted by the thermostat box in the hallway next to the blue bedroom. Open the box downwards, press “Heat Cool Setpoints” button on the top right, then look at the display to be sure the words “Heat Set point” are displayed over the number on the left for heat, or “Cool Set point” are displayed over the number on the right for AC. Use the red or blue arrow button to increase or decrease the temperature that you desire for heat or AC. Then press “Run”. The temperature will rise or lower to the number you set it at and it will stay there until you change it again. Please turn the heat down to 60 degrees when you leave if you are here in the winter. Thanks.

Garage Door Opener: The garage door opener is on the wall next to the entry door from the garage to the house. Please use small outside door on the side of the garage for entry and exit. Use the same key as for the kitchen door. There is a floor lamp right next to the outside door so you can see - there is no wall switch at the door for the overhead lights. Go figure.

Entry and exit: Please use the kitchen door or the garage man door for entry and exit. The front door has different keys and should remain locked. Thanks.

Food in pantry and freezer is Host’s food. Guests may use the breakfast food and condiments or other fresh food left in the fridge.

Garbage: Please use the two cans in the garage so the raccoons won’t get in. I will have it all emptied when I return. There are garbage liners in a box in the garage. Recycling can go in the garage, too.

Plungers for toilets are in each bathroom and under the kitchen sink.

In case of below freezing temperatures: The kitchen sink pipes may get a little icy because they are located in the garage along the outer wall. Plug in the hot water circulator next to the hot water heater in the garage, open the tap a little in the kitchen, place one of the space heaters in front of the opened doors under the kitchen sink and one in the garage on top of the brown shelves. This eventually heats up the pipes enough to thaw them but if the heat is at 60 or above the pipes should not freeze.
Plumber: alley Plumbing - Rog - they most recently serviced my house.
Donald Huff, “Plumbing Dr.” , Dan O’Halleran, Grade A Plumbing, , Sunriver Water/Sewer: Office , emergency , on call serviceman

Snow: There are shovels, a broom, a snowblower and ice melt in the garage near the garage door on the house side. Directions for the snow blower are on the snow blower in the booklet. You don’t have to shovel unless the snow is really deep. If it is deep and the ruts from the car tires freeze then it is really difficult to remove. You can call Joe Larsen at “Alpha Window Cleaning”, or Affordable Lawn Care at to plow the driveway if it is really deep, at your expense.

Hot Tub: There is a carpet you can roll out, in the winter, from the back door of the bathroom behind the orange bedroom, so you can walk safely to the hot tub. The cover has to be flipped in half and the plastic blanket (in the winter) can be folded back so you can get in. If you want to remove the whole cover then someone has to get in the tub and help push it on to the deck. There isn’t a convenient way to attach anything to the cover for easy removal. PLEASE ENTER ON THE RIGHT SIDE BECAUSE THERE IS A STEP DOWN INTO THE TUB THERE. The buttons for the light and jets are in the center of the front edge. Please be sure they are both turned off when you exit the tub and close the blanket and cover right away to keep it hot. There is a light switch for the tub deck light next to the door. Thanks. In case of emergency call H2O Specialties at . They will bill me later.

Fireplace: The fireplace turns on and off by a wall switch between the wooden cupboard and the left of the fireplace. Complete directions for the fireplace are in the cupboard above the fridge. Gas: The phone number for Cascade Natural Gas is . My account number is , under Gina Rosbrook, in case of emergency. Cascade Gas will check if there is a problem for free.

Electric: Midstate Electric and . If there is an issue with electricity it is usually over a wide area, not just my house, and it would last for about 3 hours at the most. Account numb, Regina M Rosbrook.

Gas Grill: Turn on gas with the lever attached to the house. Push it down to turn on and pointing to the house to turn it off. Please turn it off when you are finished. If the starter does not work (it is random) turn the ignition button and use the Bic lighter in the kitchen drawer next to the fridge. Please replace the cover when the grill is cool.

The house is quite eclectic with lots of cool stuff to check out. Gina was very accommodating and even said it was OK to invite the rest of our group who were staying nearby over for dinner on New Year's Eve if we wanted (which we didn't end up doing, but it was nice of her to allow it.) We enjoyed our stay!

Gina was a wonderful host for our 5-day stay. She was welcoming and very helpful giving us information about skiing at Mt Bachelor. If you come to Mt Bachelor to ski or simply just visit Sunriver or Bend, we highly recommend you stay at her place.

Gina was out of town when we stayed at her house, which was perfectly fine. The instructions were clean, the house was clean and welcoming. We had another guest staying in a separate room in a different part of the house, which was perfectly fine and worked out great!

We were passing through Sunriver and were thrilled to find a place we could stay for a quick night. Gina was a delightful host. She had plans that evening but took time to help us with our evenings plans and showed us our way around her home. She was very generous with her home, which is located in the quiet north end of Sunriver. House filled with high grade kitsch from a life of travel. Gina gave a lot of thought to what would make for an enjoyable, trouble free stay. We love Sunriver and will come back to visit Gina anytime we need less than a whole house or resort hotel.

Thank you so much for your kind comments, Lois. It would be my pleasure to have you stay again any time. Best wishes,Gina
