Although originally from New York, I have enjoyed living in this wonderful LA home since 2001. My partner, Ryan, is from Ohio and has been a great addition to this space since 2012. Step into an oasis of relaxation and in our airy beautiful home with vaulted ceilings, skylights, and craftsman style word working. The spacious master bedroom and comfortable queen bed easily accommodates two people with clean and contemporary storage for your belongings. You also have a comfy sitting chair, side table, and your own 42” TV + DVD player. The shared bathroom with a claw foot tub and skylight is just outside your door, and we’ve provided cozy robes for convenience and comfort.
We are centrally located in West LA, just 15 minutes from LAX and convenient to the beaches, Santa Monica, Venice, Culver City, Beverly Hills, UCLA, & Brentwood. Downtown is about a 15-minute drive east. Within a mile of our home there is a park with tennis courts and a public pool, a host of Japanese and other Asian restaurants, the Westside Pavilion mall & movie theater, Whole Foods, Trader Joes and several bus stops for convenient transportation around town. During your stay you have access to fast wifi, a full kitchen with a gas stove & numerous appliances, a washer & drier, and street parking.
Ryan and I are sociable, creative, child-free, professionals who love to spend time outdoors, take on creative projects, and travel. We are fortunate to share our home with a wonderfully sweet, and intelligent 4-legged friend, April Mae. She is a hypoallergenic 22lb hair-dog who does not shed and has very impressive manners. We love hosting guests, offering local & travel advice, and exchanging stories; we look forward to helping you make the most out of your time in Los Angeles and California.
The master bedroom has a 42" flat screen, soft terry cloth robes, & large mirrors that are perfect for yoga or tai chi!
We look to make your time in Los Angeles as comfortable and fun as possible. Begin your time here with fresh treats to celebrate your successful journey. Upon check-in you will get a detailed map of the area, lists of our LA favorite finds, and any guidance you will need for your stay.
Immediately you will be drawn to our grand space, which is wide open space filled with natural light from the skylights that has inviting energy and an open view into the kitchen & dining area. We have a 46" TV, DVD player, and work desk in this space. The large sectional couch is not only a great place to unwind after a long day, but it can also easily accommodate an extra two guests in your party, if our two bedrooms with queen beds are not sufficient. The two bedrooms are off of opposite ends of the living room, giving guests ample space and privacy.
The spacious master bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and plenty of clean contemporary storage. It also have an elegant sitting chair, side table, and its own 42” TV + DVD player. This room also comes with cozy robes & slippers for convenience and comfort.
The bathroom with a claw foot tub and skylight is a few steps outside the master bedroom door. With all the woodwork & natural sunlight, you might feel like you're at a Swedish spa.
First & foremost - we'll provide you with two complimentary bikes to use during your stay! We encourage you to see LA on 2 wheels! In the kitchen, you will find a fully-stocked coffee & tea station to enjoy any time of day. We have a gas stove, Breville juicer, Ninja blender, Zojirushi Rice Maker, Kitchen Aid mixer, bread maker, Foreman grill, and dishwasher. Although we don't have a microwave, we have lots of oven safe dishes to heat up your meals. We also have a washer, drier, and iron at your disposal.
We have lived here for over 10 years and love being in West LA - it is convenient to both downtown and the beaches, an easy quick ride to LAX, and even close enough to sneak up to Malibu (25 min) for a peaceful early morning stroll on the beach before breakfast.
There are lots of neat places in walking distance too - a French bakery, Whole Foods, a park with tennis courts & a fitness machine circuit, a boutique nail salon, two massage options, a locals' bar, and of course, a Starbucks.
Within a mile of our home there is “Little Osaka” which contains a gaggle of Japanese, Vietnamese, and Korean restaurants. There is also a wide selection of delicious Persian restaurants nearby, heading toward Westwood.
LAX is about a $30 and 20-minute cab ride away, or you can take public transport there for $2, which will take approximately 1 hour. There are bus stops near by for access to the beaches, Santa Monica, and UCLA.

It was a wonderful experience to stay Kimberly & Ryan's house. It was my first airbnb experience and i think it was more than a good choice to experience it. Puppy is really well trained and very sweat even i am not a big pet lover. Street parking was usually easy to find if you don't mind to walk 5 min. to the house. If you need someone to talk to in a new city and want to be in a hommy place, don't hesitate to choose this place. Kimberly and Ryan, thank you so much.
We loved our stay at Kimberly & Ryan's place. It was our first time using AirBnB's "shared space" option (I usually book entire places). Any apprehension I had towards shared spaces is gone! They are so polite, informative, and friendly. They are so willing to help with any questions and extremely flexible with our late arrival time. The place is adorable, clean and comfortable. I texted Kimberley when I arrived and she came out greeted us and helped carry our stuff in! It was so sweet. She really went above and beyond our expectations. The bed is so comfortable, we really did sleep like a rock! It's a great location as well! April the dog is friendly and adorable. Would definitely recommend to everyone, it's a great find! :)
I had a wonderful stay! Kimberly and Ryan were so warm and welcoming, and their home is a little slice of heaven in the city. Also, April Mae is the sweetest, sassiest welcoming committee I have ever met, for sure!
The bar has been raised high, Airbnb....oh,and don't get me started on the amazing shower/clawfoot tub. It made each morning a joy to get out of bed! Honestly, the best part of staying in their home was that if felt like staying with old friends. Easy, relaxing, and comfortable. : )
Nice experience and I will highly recommend the place .
This was my first AirBnB experience and it couldn't have gone better! My teenage daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kimberly & Ryan's home. It was just as described and we really enjoyed the locality of the area - particularly the great Wholefoods market nearby. My daughter slept in every morning, so yes - the bed was very comfortable!
Kimberly & Ryan were fantastic hosts, giving us lots of great advice about shopping and places to visit. We shared good conversation and they were kind enough to share dinner with us on our first night, so thank you again!
We never had any concerns about safety in the area and would have no hesitation in recommending Kimberly & Ryan's place to stay. They are absolutely lovely and their little dog April Mae is just adorable :-)
Thanks Kimberly & Ryan for opening your home to us and we will no doubt keep in touch!
We had a true 5 star air bnb experience stay with Kimberley and Ryan. If you are looking to stay in a lovely home in LA with welcoming people I doubt you could stay in a better place than this.
Their place is so beautiful and calm and far exceeded our expectations. The bed room is lovely and spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable, a great place to recover from jet lag!
Their house is super easy to get to from the airport. When we arrived we were greeted by Kimberly and she made us feel so welcome and at home. In just a couple of hours we had borrowed their bikes and cycled to a great sushi place on their recommendation. I could not suggest anything that would improve the facilities, wifi is strong, house is super clean, shower is great and so is the location.
Throughout our stay Kimberly and Ryan gave us a great insight in to LA life and what this city has to offer. They had awesome recommendations of places to see and all made better that we could use their bikes to get to them.
I am truly grateful for their unending kindness and going far beyond the call of duty for us.
A huge thank you to both of you. We hope we can stay another time.
Kimberly and Ryan are excellent hosts. They tended to our every need from the moment of first contact. They even went to UPS to pick up a package for us.
There were three of us, which meant that space was tight in the bedroom.
The neighborhood is very well located for visits to the beaches and museums, with easy access to both routes 10 and 405. Shopping and attractive dining alternatives abound and are also close by. Kimberly provided us with lists of dining and activities options. We were able to serve ourselves breakfast in Kimberly and Ryan´s kitchen and enjoyed eating our other meals out. As others have mentioned, the proximity to 405 creates a white noise which is only audible at night; this was not an issue for us. Parking was always accessible within two blocks of the house and was occasionally available in front of the house.

I grew up in New York, but have lived in LA for over 12 years. I recycle. I repurpose. I carry a spoon in my purse. I love biking, beach volleyball, tennis, & backpacking. Snow sports and traveling pull at my heartstrings as well. I have spent time in Asia, Central & South America, & Europe and I love being inspired by other peoples' adventures. Having led volunteer work trips to Honduras, Bolivia, and India, I also love hearing how people give their time to causes they feel passionate about.
I live with my fantastic partner-in-crime, Ryan, and our clever pooch April Mae. Ryan & I are warm and social, but we know how to give people personal space. I have a keen eye for attention to detail so when you come to our home there will be snacks when you arrive and many conveniences during your stay. You'll have cozy robes, slippers, a 24hr coffee/tea station, a detailed map of conveniences in the neighborhood, and informative packets of places to eat & drink and enjoy the site all around the city.
We dig exploring new cities by bicycle since going at a slower pace allows one to discover hidden gems off the beaten path. That's why we provide two bikes for guests to use free of charge - we want you to have the opportunity to explore LA on 2 wheels!
Whether I'm coming to you, or you're coming to me, I look forward to meeting you and sharing space for a brief period!
