Other Things to Note
Enjoy Milwaukee, it is truly a great city once you experience it, check out my guidebook for some of my favorite places.
No smoking. No pets. No kids.
I am flexible with check-in and check-out times.
It's a cozy place, close to everything. I couldn't find the salt and pepper...but the wine opener was the best I've ever come across. Katie was super on the ball...lots of information, maps and detailed directions for seamless check in/out. The location is sweet, walkable, and as I mentioned convenient to everything...would stay again!
Just as described! This place is great and Katie is a great host. She was really responsive when I had questions and she did a great job of proving information on her place and what's in the area! We had a great time enjoying her space and the neighborhood has a little bit of everything from great bars to food to coffee shops! If you're looking for a relaxing vacation I highly recommend this spot :)
For my first airbnb experience, this couldn't have gone better. Katie was very thorough and timely in her communications. The apartment is located in a convenient area, very walkable and with plenty of dining/drink choices nearby - her guide lists many great options. I had a car, but I would gladly have gone without it.
Overall, very pleased and would stay again.
Katie's studio apartment was just like the pictures. All the amenities of home in a cozy space. Katie was very organized and kept the process of checking in and checking out simple and predictable. No surprises. Comfy bed and high quality towels combined with Katie's willingness to share her coffee, beer etc. made us feel right at home. Great location and a good value. Most of all, it was quiet ..... makes sleeping through the night a breeze.
Having never used airbnb prior to my stay at Katie's, I truly wasn't sure what to expect. However, Katie was extremely professional and communicated excellently throughout the process of renting the space. From key pick up to check out, there was no confusion. The space itself was very clean and cozy. The area made for very cheap uber rides to downtown and parking was very easy. Would definitely stay here again!
About the Host, Katie
I am an experienced community builder who knows how to engage the community, set a community direction and strategy.
I love meeting new people, and learning new tech tools to help build better relationships, the combination of which makes me the go-to person for many of my friends and acquaintances who are looking to make strong connections.
I started my first company at 17, and am known as the get-up-and-go type.
I love all things adventure, travel, and the outdoors. I am addicted to Bikram yoga, am an avid rock climber, ski regularly, and spend as much time outdoors as possible.
I am passionate about the good food movement – I enjoy teaching people how to grow healthy food, benefits of local organic food, the how to’s of juicing, and the dangers of GMOs.
I get that we weren’t put on this planet to dominate it, but to live with it, side by side, and am keen on companies that strive to work with the environment, rather than against it.
The beat my heart moves to has been electronic dance music since I first laid ears on it.
I have a hunger for learning, and am constantly evaluating ways to improve and grow.
In my career, I have consistently exemplified the four key elements of a community manager: community advocacy, brand evangelism, savvy communication skills and editorial planning, and excelling as the liaison between internal decision makers and community members.
I blend and connect in a genuine way with communities who share my passions. I speak their language, share their concerns, get excited about the same products and events, which is what makes me such an excellent community builder.
