Walking distance to the trains to NYC, Seton Hall University & the village of South Orange NJ, this 1874 Victorian home is comfortable and convenient. Enjoy the large front porch, backyard patio and deck, yard and cozy fireplace while you are staying in the area. The street is quiet and charming with gas lamps, colorful Victorians and friendly neighbors. Inside, the house is furnished with comfortable furnishings from Restoration Hardware & Crate/Barrel style. There are high ceilings, warm colors, lovely art pieces, ceiling fans, antique touches and large area rugs through-out. Our guests may also use our sunken jacuzzi tub in the shared second floor spacious bathroom. Parking is also available and the train to NYC is a 5 minute walk downhill. The village of South Orange has many amazing boutiques, restaurants, and gourmet food stores.
Sydney was a great host. I was greeted and given the necessary information. The house/room were as described. The bed was very comfortable. The location in South Orange perfectly suited my needs for the weekend. I would definitely stay here again!
I stayed at Sydney's house for 3 months while I worked at Univeresity Hospital. She was very welcoming and accomodating. The house is in a great, safe location. I recommend staying here!

Her house and particularly the bedroom I was staying in were beautiful! The bed was heaven to sleep in and the large study desk suited my needs perfectly!
South Orange is a small, quiet and charming town and all necessities are within walking distance from Sydenys house, including the train station .
Overall my experience was fantastic! I will miss this house and Sydney and of course her lovely cats and dog :)
