Meet and Greet
It has been a treat watching Uptown blossom into a beautiful area of Chicago. It seems like everyday there are new shops and apartments popping up, and the public train is in the process of being redone as well! The condo is in walking distance of the lakefront, parks, and many unique restaurants.
Public Train (The L) only a block away (close enough to easily to, but far enough to not hear at night)

Ian met us at the apartment and showed us around answered all our questions and got us on Chicago time.
The apartment looked exactly as described and actually bigger than expected with two floors. The kitchen was outfiitted so well that we could have easily cooked meals if we were staying longer. Ian explained that it is a gentrifying neighborhood, but we felt very comfortable walking around and residents answered questions when asked. The subway attendant was very helpful in explaining how to use the automated ticket machine. The only disagreeable thing was that the weather the first day, but the second day was wonderful. We were told that Chicago weather was changeable. Suggest bringing clothes to layer for any eventuality.
Ian and Stephanie have a great place! The condo was beautiful and clean upon our arrival. It was also very comfortable with a large kitchen and dining area where we could make breakfast before heading out for the day, as well as a large family room to relax after a long day out in the city. If we wanted to cook they had a fully-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. Ian quickly responded to our texts and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The condo is close to stores and the L-train with plenty of street parking right outside. Would definitely stay again at their place. Thanks so much!
Stephanie and her son were very easy to work with. I appreciated the quick answers to my questions and the beds were comfortable. A great location to stay at for concerts 2 blocks away!
'Stunning' is in no way an overstatement. I loved everything about this property. Couldn't have been more perfect. Had some Chicagoan friends stop by and they'll likely take a couple of days here themselves for the perfect urban vacation. Didn't want to leave. Thanks, Stephanie! Hopefully see you soon again!!!
The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the because of the neighborhood, but more on that later. More importantly, Stephanie and Ian were wonderful. They were extremely communicative and even able to accommodate us well before check in time. Ian gave us a brief tour and assured us he was close by in case we needed anything (a lifeline we never needed). The condo was incredible, and exactly as it is pictured. Having access to the garage was another huge plus. It is a small space, but it was so convenient!
The neighborhood is not ideal and I doubt I'd walk alone at night, but I would never recommend that anywhere! But the condo is conveniently located between two stops on the red line, so getting to the and from the city was a breeze.
The condo was beautiful and well maintained. I liked having a garage to park the car as it was raining heavily when we arrived. So nice to have room to spread out. Lots of space for everyone. The neighborhood was nice and very close to the things we had planned. We are planning another visit to this condo!
Ian made us feel very welcome upon our arrival. The condo is very spacious and close to public transportation and Lake Shore Drive for going into the city. The neighborhood is safe during the day ... Our son and his girlfriend did take a walk late Sunday night and said it seemed safe then too. Our minor complaints are it was not very clean (especially the floors), the refrigerator needed to be cleaned plus the leftover food should be thrown out (although we did leave two pieces of pizza from Gino's East in case Ian came by after we left and wanted to enjoy them
