Located just 5 minutes' walk from the City Centre, this comfortable room has a private bathroom, kitchen and a whole floor to yourself! On direct bus routes to Dublin airport and walking distance from Trinity College, Grafton Street and City Center.
The room is spacious and quiet and you will have the whole floor to yourself with a private bathroom and a kitchenette with your own fridge, microwave oven, kettle and toaster (we provide tea, coffee and snacks). The room is also freshly painted and the bed is brand new.
The room has a TV with an Apple TV with Netflix and a stereo speaker for music if you're staying in.
Single air mattress is available too - just ask!
The basement floor is very self-contained and should have everything you need! In the room you have access to your own private bathroom and shower. You have a small kitchen with fridge and microwave. There is also a large wardrobe in the room and your own TV with Netflix.
You have a desk with outlets for your use and good WiFi. Access is through the main house but the room, bathroom and kitchen are private to you.
Interaction with Guests
We leave our guests to their own devices, as they have their own section of the house. But of course we are available in case of any questions.
The room itself it pretty much soundproof to the rest of the house so guests won't be interrupted by any comings and goings and vice-versa.
We live in historic Georgian Dublin. The house itself was built in the 1800's and still maintains many original features, with a modern twist.
The area is really charming just outside the city center. Just across the street there is a deli, Starbucks, convenience store, restaurants and traditional Irish pubs! There are also local parks and a canal with a nice walk on our street.
It's the perfect location for transport, walking or cycling. Direct bus routes to and from Airport (25 mins each way), City Center and Trinity (15 mins walking). We are walking distance from Grand Canal Dock and all major transport routes in Dublin - you can really get anywhere!
We also have a Dublin Bikes rental stop on our street - you can rent a bike and drop it off anywhere in the city. Really handy and good way to see the city.
Other Things to Note
A small and very friendly dog named Jasper lives in the house. He is quiet and behaved and will not go into your space at all.
We're easy going and guests are left to their own devices, and your space is just for you. Of course if you have any questions about the area or things to do we are more than happy to help!
Great stay at Ben's! The room is cozy and comfortable and complete with bathroom and kitchenette. Also, the neighborhood is fantastic with a lot of cute restaurants and pubs - not quite in downtown, but close enough to the main sites. We were greeted by Ben's flatmate when we arrived and had no problem connecting with Ben when needed over the phone and email.
I can't recommend this place highly enough. We spent the weekend here and were so impressed with the location - so close to St Stephen's Green, which is a gorgeous area and very safe, plus very convenient for getting the coach from and to the airport (taxis from here into town are also really reasonable). The room itself is set in the basement of the house, and I actually thought it was even more spacious than the pictures suggest - also really warm in spite of it being winter. We didn't really see anyone other than when we first got there, but that worked just fine for us - it really felt like we had a space just for us, much better and more personal than a hotel. Thanks so much to Ben and Sally - we will be back, and recommending you to our friends!
A cosy, warm and comfortable room that was a pleasure to arrive back to each day. Ben's lovely mum welcomed me and showed me around. It is close to the heart of the city but still quiet at night which was appreciated after a long day! I was in the city for work so it was great having the desk in the room plus Netflix for some winding down at night. I would thoroughly recommend this room and the delicious food from The Farm restaurant just across the road. I will definitely be staying again should work send me in that direction in the future. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you Ben.
We were deeplyy happy to stay in Ben's private floor. The room is quite spacious for a couple. The bed is (amazingly) comfy and the place is located nearby every lovely places in Dublin. I would definitely reccomand Ben's private flat to everyone else.
The house was lovely, and in a really lovely neighbourhood. The local restaurant Farm is fab!! And we truly were able to walk everywhere!! The woman who met us was very friendly - and kind for waiting up until late since our flight was delayed! Everything was as advertised - but as others have said the shower is pretty much impossible if you're over 6ft (like my husband). But more our fault for not reading the reviews throughly enough! Also, the toilet pump is quite jarring at first, but you get used to it! The bed is comfy and you truly have the basement to yourself. The snacks were a lovely added touch.
The room is perfectly sized for two people: a comfortable bed, a kitchen with all of the essentials, a nice shower and plenty of outlets. The house is centrally located to the point that we were able to walk everywhere during our stay. A cafe, a few restaurants and a small grocery store are all just a short walk up the road, and the rest of the city center sights are only a bit farther. The basement floor is truly yours; Sally greeted us warmly and provided us a map when we arrived, but otherwise we were left to ourselves. It was a very pleasant stay!
