New-Private Floor in Historic House

House - Private room · Leeson Street Upper, Dublin, Dublin, Ireland

Located just 5 minutes' walk from the City Centre, this comfortable room has a private bathroom and a whole floor to yourself! On direct transport routes to airport and walking distance from Trinity College, the Aviva and Grand Canal Dock.

The Space

The room is spacious and quiet and you will have the whole floor to yourself with a private bathroom and a kitchenette with your own fridge and toaster (we provide tea and coffee). Just ask if you have any special requirements. The room is also freshly painted and the bed is brand new.

Single mattress is available too - just ask!

Guest Access

The floor is very self-contained and should have everything you need! In the room you have access to your own private bathroom and shower. You have a small kitchen but you can use the main kitchen if you like. There is also a large wardrobe in the room and access to the sitting room with tv.
You have a desk with outlets for your use and good WiFi.

Interaction with Guests

We leave our guests to their own devices, as they have their own section of the house. But of course we are available in case of any questions or issues that arise.

The Neighborhood

We live in historic Georgian Dublin. The house itself was built in the 1800's and still maintains many original features, with a modern twist.

The area is really charming just outside the city center. Just across the street there is a deli, coffeeshop, convenience store, restaurants and traditional Irish pubs! There are also local parks and a canal with a nice walk on our street.

Getting around

It's the perfect location for transport or walking. Direct bus routes to and from Airport (25 mins each way), City Center and Trinity. We are walking distance from Grand Canal Dock and all major transport routes in Dublin - you can really get anywhere!

We also have a Dublin Bikes rental stop on our street - you can rent a bike and drop it off anywhere in the city. Really handy and good way to see the city.

Other Things to Note

A small and very friendly dog named Jasper lives in the house. He is quiet and behaved and will not go into your space at all.

  • We had a nice stay at Ben's place.
Room is spacious and even has Bose speaker to connect your iPod to.
    The bed is good.
Small kitchen with basic breakfast needs supplied
Very convenient located and all sites are within walking distance (remember we do like a good hike ;).
Be sure to check out Rigby's deli across the road.
Keep in mind; there are 2 Hilton hotels nearby, so ask for the Hilton Doubletree stop when on the Aircoach.

  • We spent 3 nights in Ben's room during the St . Patrick's day. The house is located just 15 minutes away from the city center and just across the street is a bus station for the aircoach. The room was clean and friendly and there was everthing what you need. We really enjoyed our stay and we would like go there again.

  • A very pleasant stay! Both Ben and his mother are very polite and discreet. The place is nice and is actually a bargain for what you get. A big room with your own bathroom and small kitchen. There is also a nice private living room that I didn't use, but if you want to relax watching TV it is available for the guests.
The location is really good as well. You can walk to the city center or take one of the buses that stop just outside the house. The area is nice and safe as well.

  • Cannot say enough positive things about this place in Dublin.
I lived in Dublin for a year in 2012, and can say without a doubt this is the best location to be in the city. It's so close to the main city centre, but just far enough to get away from the madness of it. The Air Coach literally stops in front of their home, and buses to everywhere also stop just outside their steps!

The home is absolutely stunning. You have access to a mini kitchen, your own bathroom and privacy. The room is spacious lovely and very comfortable.

Ben and his family were BEYOND accommodating, I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. Also, if you are a dog lover, they have the most adorable friendly dog as well!

I will 100% be staying here again when I return to Dublin, my favorite city on the planet!

    Thanks again guys!!! xx

  • Ben was a great host, very friendly, welcoming and happy to help us out when we had questions!

The room is great, very spacious, and downstairs with its own shower and mini-fridge. Very private if you want, though Ben did offer to let us use both the kitchen and the front living room with TV if we wanted.

Speedy WiFi, bus stop to town outside the door (though only a 15min walk into town) and a few nice restaurants across the road!

Also grateful for the tea & coffee Ben left out for us to help ourselves to! :)

Jasper the dog was really friendly, no trouble at all and stayed upstairs in his own area in any case.
