Beautiful private Biltmore Forest home on several acres - five minutes to Biltmore Estate entrance and the galleries & restaurants of Biltmore Village, easy 2 miles off I-40, 15 minutes to the airport... plenty of parking.
Our property is a 1920's brick bungalow purchased by my grandparents when they were newlyweds... Located in Biltmore Forest, it's close to the famous Biltmore House (1 mile in a straight line, 3 by car). Less than a mile to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and 10 minutes to downtown restaurants and the River Arts District.
The house is 5-bedrooms, 2500 sq ft, privately situated on part of a 5-acre compound that's been in the family for almost 100 years... wood floors, lots of plants and BIG windows throughout... Relax on the 500 sq ft brick terrace and enjoy the season. Full kitchen with fine views to the wooded east yard. Fireplace and two comfortable dens... dining room seats 12 or more, also with plenty of windows.
Two queen bedrooms downstairs share a bright clean bathroom, and the large main downstairs rooms. Upstairs, guests are greeted by a large sitting room (with a single bed), and three queen bedrooms. One bedroom features a connected private bathroom (sink, small tub, and toilet), and the other bedroom has a separate bathroom (shower, sink, toilet) off the sitting room.
Wireless internet is fast, so looking at maps online while planning your day will be easy. Downstairs stereo is ready for your portable music players, as is the upstairs stereo.
Price is whole house nightly. Ask about 1/2 house pricing (two-bed downstairs entire house).

Treat the place like it's your grandparents, it was mine.
Leave it like ya found it - clean dishes and kitchen.
Drew was very friendly and accommodating during our Spring Fling stay! He was flexible with our arrival time and checked in during the weekend to see if we needed help with the wood stove. The house was perfect for our girl's weekend and it's in a great location, close to all of the fun in Asheville but quiet and removed from the main part of town. It has a wonderful yard and plenty of bedrooms for a group gathering.
Our stay at Drew's "Winter Nest" was just what we wanted and needed. We had a group in Asheville for my 25th birthday, and there were plenty of beds and a huge backyard that we were able to enjoy due to the incredible weather. Drew was extremely responsive and made us feel at home. I am already looking forward to my next trip to Asheville and staying at Drew's place again!
felt very welcomed. The directions were great and it was a great country environment a short distance from all attractions. Very peaceful and quiet area. Drew went out of his way to make the house familiar for us
Listing was accurate. House is older but has lots of character. Plenty big enough for our group of eight. Comfortable with lots of sun coming through the beautiful windows.
Drew was quickly responsive in dealing with one issue (called right back on a Saturday night)
Drew was great. Accurate and detailed description of the house. A wonderful house that provided more than enough space for seven adults and one toddler. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with a huge yard for our son to explore.
My family and I really enjoyed staying at Drew's place over Thanksgiving. The house has an amazing balance of privacy, openness, and convenience to Biltmore and Asheville. We loved the windows and the layout in particular. As other reviewers noted, some of the house, especially upstairs, would ideally be repaired, but this did not affect us practically. We would stay again!
Drew's straightforward directions made getting in and settling in a breeze. The house has a very cozy vintage charm and eight of us (six adults, two children) were very comfortable there and really enjoyed the lovely setting (with a huge yard perfect for kickball and frisbee!). The location was super for everywhere we wanted to go. Overall just delightful.
I am a geographer - I work with GIS/mapping systems, mainly helping people and groups get started with this exciting technology. I travel often for work, thus the opportunity to have this place to yourself!
I sail, dive, run, LOVE live music (great scene here in Asheville).
I live in a big old family home - known it all my life - great energy here - come enjoy!
