Double room by Thames, SW London
A lovely and spacious family house by the River Thames in Fulham, with a double room to rent and when available, two additional bedrooms for children or additional guests. You will have your own bathroom (one is en suite and the other is shared), TV, wifi and fantastic bus routes to central London from the end of the road. Most of my bookings tend to come through this listing so if there is no availability showing, it is still worth messaging me to see if one of the other rooms is free. Alternatively, (email hidden)/rooms/705526 and airbnb.co.uk/rooms/705523 too.
Hammersmith and Putney Bridge tube stations are about a 20 minute walk away along the river and I am close to the river bus too if you prefer the scenic route to the City. I'm close to Heathrow Airport (20 minute drive or direct Tube line from Hammersmith). Lovely, leafy river walks one minute away and 20 minutes on the bus to the shopping district of Knightsbridge and the museums of South Kensington. Unusually large garden too, so lots of green space for you to relax, quite rare for London! This area of Fulham is quite residential, but roads are quiet and parking is readily available ( £2. 20 per hour on the meter between 9 and 5 should you have a car ) . Please note, there are times of the year, when demand is high, that my longer term discounts will not apply.
We stayed with Debbie for 2 nights, very convenient as we were in London to celebrate a family birthday and our daughter lives on the same street and she didn't have the room to accommodate us all. Debbie has a beautiful house and made us feel very welcome.
Lovely house in a handy location with easy access to Putney and Fulham Broadway. Debbie is a charming host, she and the other guests made me feel right at home. You can park outside and there are decent places to eat within easy walking distance. I will certainly stay there again. Thank you.
I wanted to say how wonderful it was being with Debbie.
Although the location is not so central and we were outside most day, it was nice going back 'home'.
Most importantly is that the beds are comfortable and the place is clean!
Debbie makes everyone feel very welcome in her beautiful house. Great location - easy 15 minute walk to tube or short bus ride. Quiet street, spacious rooms, yummy continental breakfast that suited me perfectly, and above all a friendly host where nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend to anyone looking in London, and will be back! Thanks again Debbie!
Debbie was a wonderful host. Very accommodating and welcoming. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to stay in London.
Debbie was a great host. Very flexible, personable and communicative. Additionally, she has a fantastic house so if you want to feel home away from home Debbie's place is a great choice.
Our experience staying with Debbie was wonderful. Debbie is an exceptional hostess who has become a treasured friend. From contacting her last year through to sharing her home and leaving a few days ago my husband and I have been made to feel like one of the family, which is such a special feeling when your own family is halfway around the world.
We stayed in her the pink room in the front of her beautifully decorated terraced house. The room was delightful. Both bedroom and modern bathroom were spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the street quiet.
The delicious continental breakfast was in Debbie's bright opened space kitchen overlooking a beautiful garden.
Debbie's home is convenient to public transport, supermarkets, parks, pubs and restaurants and a good hairdresser (after 2 months of travelling I needed one Thanks Debbie).
My husband and I recommend this beautiful Double room by Thames, SW London to you. When the door is opened Debbie and her family and two beautiful cats will ensure you feel like you have come to stay with friends.
I could not have been happier with my experience. Debbie was flexible, accommodating, gracious and fun. I got my laundry sorted whilst I was there, the room was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom which was large by London standards. The location is good - excellent access to the River walk down around Bishop's Garden and the bus and/or walk to the tube at Hammersmith makes for easy travel. Also as this is on the Piccadilly Line access from Heathrow for international travellers is really easy.
I spent great time at Debbie's house in London.
She replied soon when I was in trouble to find a room.
It was first time to stay at B&B but she was so kind and I could stay like at my home.
It's quiet and easy to access to central London from her home. It's also near Thames, great pub and Craven Cottage.
I really recommend to stay her home when you would stay in London!
From the moment I arrived, Debbie gave me a warm welcome into her beautiful home. My room was very spacious, relaxing and quiet...a haven to return to after a hectic day in London! I had an excellent two-nights sleep in the luxurious bed. The bathroom with walk-in shower were of five-star hotel standard. The location was very convenient and an easy bus journey into central London. I have had a very positive first experience of Air BnB and will no longer bother with hotels when in the capital...Debbie is a gracious and considerate host and I would love stay with her again. Thank you very much Debbie and best wishes ! Dr Zena Slim.
