The downstairs of a 200 year old house, the flat is situated half way down a lane with a country feel whilst being just off Ranelagh main street.
There is an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops all 2 minutes from the door. Strolling into the city centre by way of Leeson Street and Stephen's Green brings you through some of the most picturesque areas of Georgian Dublin.
The flat can very comfortably sleep up to 2 adults and a child.
Own entrance and private back garden.
Use of bike is complimentary.
The flat has all mod cons, hot water at the flick of a switch and a wood burning stove for extra cosy appeal.
Interaction with Guests
I will be on hand to help with anything and give advice about where to eat, drink, what to see and how to get around.
Ranelagh is a very popular enclave in Dublin these days, it is so close to the City Centre whilst having a village identity all of it own.
It is full of all amenities you could need and you are just off the main street.
Bike for your use, LUAS (tram) just in the village 2 mins away and a plethora of buses to boot.
Other Things to Note
5 night minimum stay.
The house is a 200 year old Georgian conversion.
It is now in two fully separate apartments but as it's so old there is some 'living' noise audible between places. I suppose the only real rule is to be respectful of the space and neighbours.
We spent a wonderful week in Ali's lovely Georgian cottage in Dublin. From a welcoming bottle of Prosecco when we arrived, to her swift response to any questions we had, Ali was the perfect host. The flat more than lived up to our expectations and I have no hesitation in recommending this listing to future visitors to Dublin.
I really enjoyed my time in Ali's cottage. She was excellent to communicate with very prompt, welcoming and friendly. The cottage is exactly as described. Beautiful old Georgian house, bright, lovely fittings and furniture, cosy and warm. I settled in immediately, put on a wash, had a few glasses of wine, slept like a log and then a fry in the morning! The setting is great, quiet and friendly avenue lined with artisan cottages and just a stones throw from shops, cafes, supermarkets and public transport. Ali was always on hand with any queries and questions and made the experience very smooth. I wish I could have stayed longer! Would highly recommend this listing to anybody who wants to enjoy all Dublin has to offer.
Ali was an amazing host, who also had great communication. The flat was well appointed and in a fantastic location. The street itself was quite and within one block of great pubs and restaurants. We walked every day into the city, which was a short 20 minute walk, with great coffee shops on the way.
We had two people staying at the flat and there were plenty of grocery stores within 2-3 blocks for easy access and cooking in the home. When we arrived, we were greeted by Ali's dad, who was great and helped show us around. There was a fantastic bottle of wine and chocolates waiting, which was a very nice touch.
The bed itself was very comfortable and a great retreat from the city. The TV has an easy access USB to watch movies and was a great place to relay. The back patio is a wonderful place to have a cup of coffee and read a book.
I would HIGHLY recommend staying in this great place in Dublin. Easy access to everything or nothing, depending on the vacation you would like!
Thanks Ali for such a great place!
Ali was awesome. She communicated great with me via email and always replied quickly. The place was great. So cozy, safe and right there in the middle of a great part of town. Easy to get to the city center too.
One of the nicest AirBnB experiences I've ever had. The flat was perfect with a lot of attention paid to detail. The kitchen and bathroom were fully appointed with plenty of cooking utensils, clean towels, soap, food in the fridge...everything you need. I arrived from London with a terrible case of food poisoning so the brown bread and tea were a lifesaver!
The location is also great, right in the Ranelagh village with it's shops and restaurants. If you're not familiar with Dublin, this is one of the nicest neighborhoods.
We had an amazing experience staying at Ali's place. Her communication with us was excellent and we felt very welcome. The space was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The neighbourhood has many nice restaurants right around the corner, and with the tram and busses we were never far from the center. I would definitely recommend her place for anyone that wants to have a tranquil base to explore Dublin.
