Welcome to the Common House!
When you arrive at 887 Commonwealth Ave 90291, please walk up to the front porch. and there will be a lock box hanging on the blue door. The lock box's combination is 6789. Inside the lock box, you will find a key for the main door (which is the wooden door with frosted glass on the opposite side of the porch). Use the key to open both the top and bottom of the lock to get inside the house. Please call me at in case you have any problems.

The Common House in Venice Beach Rental Agreement
CHECK-IN TIME is 4 P.M. PST AND CHECKOUT is 11 A.M. PST. No early check-in or late checkout unless otherwise discussed and agreed.
This is a NON SMOKING house. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the house and within the premises of the property line.
PETS – Well-behaved dogs with up-to-date rabies and other vaccinations are welcome. All canine guests must be pre-approved, and a one-time charge of $35 per pet applies. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up any/all pet refuse. Pets must not sit, lie, or sleep on furniture (couch and bed) at any time. Pets must not be left unattended in the house. It is pet owner’s sole responsibility for the safety of pets and humans while on the premises. Pet owners will be given an opportunity to respond to any noise complaints from other guests and/or neighbors. Pet owners may be asked to leave the property and could be financially responsible for any and all costs associated with appeasing the noise complaints should they fail to satisfy the request. It is recommended that dogs travel with their own crates and/or pads to reduce anxiety. The maximum number of canine guests accepted is limited to 2 dogs.
SECURITY DEPOSIT - A security deposit of $300 is required, and must be received prior to reservation can be confirmed. The security deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within 7 days of departure, provided the following provisions are met.
•No damage is done to the house or its contents.
•All debris, trash and discards are placed in dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned.
•All keys are left in the lockbox and all doors and gates are left locked.
•All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.
•No linens are lost or damaged.
•Additional exit information and instructions can be found in the house.
CANCELLATIONS – Cancellations that are made more than 90 days prior to arrival will incur no penalty. Cancellations that are made within 90 days of arrival are subject to a 50% of rent total cancellation fee or $100, whichever is greater. Change of dates and shortened stays are subject to service charges on a case-by-case basis. Early departure without prior discussion does not warrant any refund of rent.
DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – While linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. However, it may be available with upon request an additional fee.
PARKING – Street parking is available at no charge. It is guests’ responsibility to ensure that their vehicles are properly parked and that they comply with all parking regulations and ordinances.
FIREPLACES AND GRILL– The outdoor grill is a non-vented propane gas fired firebox. Please do not throw any paper or other combustible materials in the grill. Charcoal and firewood can be purchased at many local stores. Please use great caution when using fireplaces and grill.
WEATHER CONDITIONS – No refunds will be given due to rain or storms, unless the state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations.
GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY - Commonwealth Avenue is a quiet street in a very closed community with neighbor's mutual respect.; please keep the party noise level down between 11PM – 8AM as quiet hours. There is another vacation rental unit called Common Studio in the back yard with separated fence and with the same rental policy. Please call the owner if there is any noise concerns during the quiet hours.
DUPLEX IN THE SAME LOT: There is another vacation rental unit in the back of the property with separated fence and with the same rental policy. The back studio is completely separate from the main house; privacy of the guests will not be affected.
The Common House is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illness or the loss of personal belongs that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
Upon the recipient of the full rental payment, the guests agree to all terms and conditions of this agreement.
