This place is a perfect location to explore Merrekesh! The owners greet you and spend time explaining the house and the area. The house is more amazing than the photos can show! Eating on the rooftop is a treat at this quaint and unique home in the quiet small narrow lanes by one of the palaces. We had a special dinner on arrival which was delicious and a welcome treat after a long trip that day. The help is sweet and gracious and you don't know she is even there she is so quiet. The grand souk is a brief 5 minute walk but we also enjoyed the house as much as exploring and spent half our time relaxing there. A much better value than staying in a hotel.
We had a fantastic stay in the Riad. What a beautifull place! The rooms were luxurious, spacious and clean. It felt like 1001 nights, especially in the evenings on the terrace underneath the sky full of stars, with a cold drink (allready arranged by Anne and her husband). Anne and her husband were great hosts and very helpful. And so was Aziza, who prepared tasty meals and breakfast for us and our two little children and was very friendly. We fully recomend this perfect place to stay!
I did not meet Anne, but my friends told me she was really helpful and kind. The riad was amazing. When we arrived it was a little rainy, but if the sun is shining you can open de roof. The riad is nearby Djemaa el fna and the other nice restaurants and cafe's. If you're visiting Marrakech with a group and want a riad for your own, you should go to Anne's place,
Our stay in this beautiful Riad was everything we hoped for! Good beds, nice breakfasts, excellent location. We can certainly recommend it!!
Beautiful Riad in the heart of the Medina. In a very safe neighborhood and quiet. Allows for a true traditional feel for the city. Short walks to both historical sites and the tourist areas. The host does a great job in helping arrange airport transportation. There is also a house helper that makes breakfast as well as the option for dinner. Really makes for a great experience. I would highly recommend this place if you're seeking an authentic Moroccan experience.
Anne was superb in all aspects: fast email response, helpful with info and airport transfer and she met us at the riad to show us around.
We spent three nights in the riad. The riad is well designed. Three bedrooms surrounding a typical open plan/sky central corridor, with balconies overlooking a small pool in the center. There's a roof top terrace where you can catch the sun and relax privately.
It was clean, had 3.5 bathrooms and all mod cons including wifi. One night we used the services of the cleaner and cook, Azisa, who made an excellent 3 course meal - chicken tagine, fish tagine, salad and homemade soup. Each morning she made breakfast: coffee, fresh orange juice, homemade pancakes and fresh flatbreads with jams on offer. All very nice. We wouldn't hesitate to return to the Riad.
There's a brilliant stork nest with a family stuck right on top of the mosque tower, which is very close by. Be aware the call to prayer happens a few times a day and it is loud and can run long!
Comme beaucoup, j'adore voyager ! J'ai parcouru tous les continents et j'adorerais découvrir l'Amérique du Sud. Je vis au Maroc depuis deux ans et y suis très heureuse.
