Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Light filled 1960’s home with stunning desert views throughout. Minimalist yet artfully designed with carefully curated books and mid century furniture. Modern updates such as wrap around glass doors allow you to enjoy the desert scenery from all angles.
A breezy shaded patio and outdoor dining area with hammock and lounge chairs for the perfect opportunity to relax, enjoying the nature that envelopes you. Hikes and trails are nearby for you to explore.

The space

Mid Century home built in 1965. Located on 5 acres of pristine desert close proximity to park entrance. Private with expansive views.

The house is clean, cozy and comfortable. I've tried to think of everything you may need to enjoy your stay.

A shady porch and breezeway with hammock provide plenty of places to relax, hang out and watch the wildlife, while hikes and trails are nearby for you to explore. Guidebooks for the National Park, local desert flora & fauna, as well as notes on favorite hikes are provided for you.

In the mornings, have your coffee with all the wildlife out right beyond the porch...quail, cactus wren, roadrunner, cottontail and jackrabbits. In the evenings a leisurely walk around the property. After sunset and the stars come out, lay on the lounge chairs and take in the night sky.

I'm a naturalist at heart I'm always on the hunt for an amazing mid century addition to my living space, or an old book about national parks, cacti, birds... refreshing the space with inspiring pieces. I enjoy being a host and sharing this special house in Joshua Tree. Curating this home in a way that feels right in the surroundings while honoring the lovely couple that built it in 1960, and hearing how guests love it, has been such a joy.
