SPECiAL NOTE: our "super loft adventure" is with us in our main loft and is more intimate (not set up for long term) so we only do short term (usually 2-5 nights / up to week) stays. our more studio like "secret attic hideout" space, is for more long term stays.

this makes both rooms more airy & cozy, but a little less private.

BATHROOM: spacious and super clean shower, sink and toilet area. fresh towels. plus a chance to meet full time bathroom resident OLiVE, our awesome gourami fish.

KiTCHEN: coffee / wine bar area large open kitchen with industrial steel counter top / sink, gas stove (open to the bar area), big fridge (guest shelves available), cook book library, etc.

CHOW: large round wooden table. comfortable, modern seating. little open bar area; great for a cup of tea, coffee, beer, wine, etc. checkout our guidebook for all our favorite take out eats.

LiViNG: large bright (east wall of windows) lots of room to chill... or workout.

GYM area: with a hanging everlast punching bag, yoga mat, thick large bi-fold exercise mat and space.

LiBRARY he he he. lovely fun pop culture (ever rotating) stairway library. also have a library area of great cookbooks in pantry / kitchen area.

PARKER / MADiSON / MAiSEY: a lovely sweet weimaraner (8 years) named parker posey. a super cute little sister, non yappy, chihauhau (4 1/2 years) named madison. see above tour for pics.

i work at the local shelter. we just rescued and have a new member of the family, little margaret: aka. maisey or any other derivative of margaret. she looks like a 5 pound baby wookie (chewbacca reference). everyone who meets her melts. :P

LAUNDRY / waste management: in loft trusty front loader washing machine, air dry rack (or coin dryer available in building), recycling, composting, trash.

GARDEN / parking lot: hang out in our beautiful parking lot garden that sports a meyer lemon tree, palm tree, various in season greens / veggies and a wide range of tasty herbs for the picking: lemon thyme, flat leaf parsley, tarragon, basil, mint, rosemary and sage. grill and personal fire pit ready for use. guests have access to garden harvesting.

PARKiNG: free gated off street parking.

FREE WiFi: indoor / outdoor high speed wifi for your streaming enjoyment!

NEiGHBORHOOD: authentic old school artist's live / work building. exactly on the border of berkeley, oakland and emeryville.

COMMUTE: a 5 minute straight shot to I-80 (sf). 15 minute walk to bart (sf and beyond). 5 minute walk (3 blocks) to a local super-tasty bakery. sweet adeline's. our favorites are the: tea cakes, apple turnovers, cherry corn scones, carrot / ginger breads, chocolate cream pie etc. dog friendly.

checkout our guidebook for all our local faves.

once again... our "super loft adventure" is within our main loft (where we live) and more intimate, so we only do short term (usually 2-5 nights / up to a week) stays. check out our more studio like "secret attic hideout" for longer term stays.

  • We loved to stay with BReN and BiLL! Their loft ist awesome and the three dogs are super friendly. We didn't know that a place this nice could exist. Bren and Bill are really friendly, helpful and much fun to talk to.
The only thing we can do is to totally recommend this place! What a great experience :-)

  • I stayed with Bren on my way to Seattle. She was incredibly warm and welcoming. Her loft is amazing. It is bright and open! She was very welcoming of me and my doggie and was so accomadating to my very stressed out pup. It was truely a pleasure staying with her!

  • Super and Adventure are the best words to describe this cozy awesome loft. Staying with Bren & Billy was exactly what my boyfriend and I needed for my weekend back home. From the cute and cuddly pets down to the handmade 100% organic and vegan soaps.

Billy and Bren were very welcoming, cheerful, and overall had the quality of a family away from family. They made delicious smelling dinner. Their pets were super friendly, and extremely adorable. The loft is well decorated, and is a great environment for anyone who has work that they can do from their laptop.

The room I stayed in was super cozy and the lighting choice kept my boyfriend preoccupied for 20 minutes (at least). He's a professional photographer/videographer and that dimmer certainly captured his interest, lol. Overall I am no less than pleased with my very first booking with Airbnb, and with Billy & Bren. I will certainly be back soon!

  • If you ever are in the Bay area for short term stay, then look no further for the greatest loft ever built in human history. A nice, kept secret cradled between Berkeley and Oakland, this place has been pivotal in my permanent move to San Francisco. Pleasant and gracious hosts, Bren and Billy will not disappoint. Keep an open mind and be courteous!

  • My stay with BReN and BiLLY was refreshing and invigorating. Their place looked inviting from the pictures, but it was a pleasant surprise to discover chill lighting, engaging books, relaxing sounds, and their warm hospitality, which made me feel right at home. Everything was clean, which is impressive given the three dogs and aquatic friends. They invited me to an evening gathering with friends, and I helped with preparations for some delicious food they cooked for dinner.

  • My girlfriend and I were travelling through California and were recommended the super loft adventure by some friends - it was soo much fun! BReN and Billy are the perfect hosts, super accommodating, very friendly and make some bad-ass pumpkin muffins; we felt at home in their spacious warehouse conversion. The house itself is stylish, clean and extremely cool. If you're planning to visit SF a lot then the BART/public transport is a short walk away and very easy to use, we had no problems getting back and forth. Finally, the dogs - LOVED them, Parker, Madison and Maisey are very friendly, cuddly and well behaved. They definitely added to our short stay in Oakland, we'll miss them!

  • This was my first time using air bnb and I was very happy with my experience. Bren and Billy made me feel immediately at home and have me lots of helpful tips for the area. Delicious food. Comfortable environment. Good access to public transit (no car when I was in town). Great conversation. I hope to return soon! Thanks for a wonderful trip!

  • Bren and Billy are fantastic hosts and very welcoming. I immediately felt part of the family.

Their loft is fantastic - an amazing space which has been very cleverly designed and is very spacious.

We even had chance to have a mini movie night on their big screen projector.

The room is cosy and very comfortable, and there is secure parking should you need it.

I'd thoroughly recommend staying with Bren - great to stay somewhere a bit different with a friendly, welcoming couple.

  • Bren and Bill were what we can say the perfect hosts. They did everything to make us feel good. They were welcoming and we had very interesting conversation.

Moreover, Parker Posey and Madison are the nicest dogs we've ever seen, we alreay miss them.

FOOD we love food. i love to cook. my dream someday is to have my own BnB and / or mini food truck. the past few years we've been into urban gardening and growing our own herbs (and some vegetables / greens) to harvest. dream some day is to build a chicken coop and hopefully acquiring some happy little laying hens. nothing like hen to kitchen eggs. guests have access to garden harvesting and kitchen which includes big fridge, industrial steel counter, gas stove, cook book library and mini breakfast bar. first two nights of stay, we offer 7:00AM - 8:30AM fresh french press coffee and super-tasty lemon thyme scramble with toast upon request. special note: although we eat meat from time to time, we can also be vegetarian / vegan friendly. check out our local guidebook for our favorite food / wine places we like to hang out at. ANiMALS we love our animals. you don't have to love them, but you need to be dog friendly to stay here. part of the adventure is having access to three awesome loving dogs. canine friends are welcome as long as they are potty trained and socialized. we have easy potty access and poop bags. there are a number of great local off leash dog parks that we take our girls to daily. we are kid friendly as long as they don't bite and are socialized -- he he he. checkout our guidebook for all things dog friendly you might need during your stay. HUMOR air bnb suggests sharing a life motto? we don't really have one. we do love a good sense of humor though. if you have one -- YAY!
