Victor and Gabriele were absolutely fantastic. After arriving late (yours truly locked the keys in the car) Victor was waiting patiently and we soon felt completely relaxed.
The cottage has an amazing waterfront position with an ever change tidal vista. The rooms were warm on arrival, beds comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with eggs, bacon, cheese, meats , fruit, bread, juice, plunger coffee , milk, jams etc.
Victor and Gabriele went well beyond what we expected with the accommodation and their helpful advice. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and if returning to Ireland would choose to stay longer.
Lovely cottage with a fantastic view. Very well equipped with nice things for breakfast as well.
This is a truly wonderful space & we had a perfect time here. Sitting on your couch you are mere metres from the Atlantic with a view to die for, we could (and did!) happily spend hours just looking out the window at the water & the tides. The house is in the middle of the Burren and only a few minutes drive from some truly spectacular sea scapes and beaches. The house itself is warm, comfortable, well equipped and just a lovely place to spend time, we couldn't have asked for more. Icing on the cake - the wonderful hospitality of Victor & Gabrielle who provided eggs from their own hens, home made ginger bread, bread, milk. Everything you'd need for breakfast and snacks basically! We loved it here, couldn't recommend it more as a spot to get away from the world and we will be back.
We loved our stay! Beautiful view, great hosts, plenty of space and even goats to play with. Would definitely recommend for a quiet, somewhat secluded retreat.
Gabriele and victor were soo lovely!! The location is very remote so a car is essential!! Unless you connect with Tom Connolly the local Hackney and his wife Katherine who will take you all around the amazing Burren!! The home is very comfortable in everyway. The goats are great and the chickens provided fantastic eggs !! The fridge was stocked with milk, juice, sausage, bacon, eggs, jams, breads, cheese, fruit. Home on the bay...Gorgeous!!!
Brilliant experience and I suggest future guests consider this property for at least 2 nights. Ballyvaughan is picturesque and typical of an unspoiled Irish coastline worthy of a few days stay. Views from the house are spectacular. Bring your Crocs and walk the bay at low tide. Host is friendly, helpful and derives pleasure from giving it to others. The house is immaculate and we appreciated the many personal touches including lovely linens, objects from Germany and delicious snacks provided us. The home is well appointed and maintained. An excellent experience.
Wow, what an excellent Airbnb experience! The house has an amazing panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean and you get to wake up to see the tide go out every morning! Gabby and Victor were great hosts in every way. Victor gave us suggestions on what to do in the area, we had some milk, butter, bread, cereal and some amazing smoked salami and cheese waiting in the fridge for us, so yummy! Gabby insisted on doing our laundry for us while we were away on a day adventure and when we returned, we found a basket of freshly clean, folded laundry at our doorstep, just an amazing gesture of hospitality! We would stay here forever if we could!
