We had a wonderful experience with Manuel, he picked us up just as planned and took us to his home. The room was very nice, comfy beds and a good powerful fan. He got us connected to the wifi so we could let our family know we arrived safely and got us plenty of water. In the morning we had fruit for breakfast and coffee that him and his wife prepared for us and then Manuel took us to the car rental place and waited with us while we got the car to make sure we were ok. It was really great to meet Manuel and his wife and have such a friendly experience upon our arrival in a foreign country. His dog Balou is super cute and so friendly, greeted us with a wagging tail and wanted pets.
Thank you Manuel!
The home is locatde in a safe neighbourhood. It's about a 20 minute walk to the centre of the city. I only had a chance to speak with Manuel once since he was working most of the time. He's a nice guy. His wife is usually home. Their dog is cute. There was no hot water in the shower.
We enjoyed meeting with Manuel and his wife and appreciated Manuel´s willingness to drive us ( for a fee) on several occasions. Unfortunately the room we stayed in was separate from the house and did not contain a double bed. We also had to enter the house from the outside to use the bathroom, so a middle of the night visit to the facilities was not possible. Finally, Manuel might not yet have contacted this site to inform them that the prices quoted here are not the actual prices being charged.
Very cool guy. He came pick me at the airport and we had a good time around the town. Definately check out Manuel if you are in Liberia. (the dog is awesome too!)
We had fun staying with Manuel and Agnes! They are a wonderful family and very welcoming and open. I would definitely stay again next time I pass through Liberia, it was a great introduction to Liberia and to Costa Rica, and it was really nice to chat with Manuel and Agnes as well as other people staying.
Manuel and his family are lovely hosts.
His wife welcomed us with fresh fruit upon our arrival and then made us a delicioso traditional Costan Rican breakfast of Casado.
It was amazing and kept us going all day.
We were given a room with a twin bed and 2 mattresses which made it a little cozy for dos personas.
The area was calm and quiet.
The dogs are sweet (especially Aloo) but definitely did a good job of keeping watch on the house. Bark bark.
Overall it was a good experience and we would stay there again.

About the Host, Manuel
