A cossy room for a couple in a large appartement located between Little Italy, the Jean Talon Market and the shopping street of the Plaza St-Hubert, the location of our apartment offers all the amenities within 5 minutes walk. Parking in the quarter is really easy and free. Accessible by subway and bus at night is very easy. The stops are located at the corner of the street, the orange line metro will take you to the city center with no change and if the subway is already closed, the night bus will take you back to your night out, directly to Berri UQAM the door, going up St-Denis, giving you the opportunity to stop in other bars on the shelf if it is not yet 3 am ;D.
Interests in the quarter :
- Vices et versa bar ((website hidden))
- Jean Talon Market
- Nacho Libre
- Elefsen (Norwegian café Restaurant)
- Jurançon (french Restaurant)
- Le vieu vélo (Breakfast brunch)
- Café Odessa
- Pastaga (really good retsaurant)
or look at my foursquare lists (mrvasseur)
The are no fees for a flat cleanup after you leave just because we expect you to let the place as you found it when you come in.
Pipou our cat is very shy you won't see it often but he need to be feed at least twice a week and once during the weekend.
The parking behind belong to our neighboors downstairs and can only be use for a quick stop.
Lovely place. Even lovelier hosts! Merci pour ton generosity and sweetness :)
I came to Montreal to see the city and decide if I wanted to relocate here. I managed to book a stay at Stephane's and Marie-Claude's house.
Based on what I saw on the web page, the house seemed to have a certain charm of its own which enticed me want to book there. After two weeks, I’m pleased to say that it is exactly as depicted on the air bnb site.
Though i've been out a lot and often arriving quite late, I've managed to see my hosts a few times. Each time was very pleasant as they are very friendly people that are genuinely interested in getting to know you.
Their location is excellent as it has easy access to downtown. Its only minutes from the Jean Talon Market and little Italy and there are some great little places around the neighborhood to walk around and eat. Both Stéphane and Marie-Claude are wonderful hosts that try to make your stay a great experience. I would highly recommend them and their beautiful place without hesitation. By the way, they have an adorable cat named Pipou who loves attention.
We came for a Tango Marathon in beginning of November and had enjoyed our stay at Stèphane and Marie's cozy apartment. It was our pleasure to share afternoon meals in their company.
Stèphane and Marie had all kinds of interesting and artistic ideas for apartment decor. We also loved their friendly cat Pipou :)
Merci encore eux 2 :-)
We had a lovely time in this apartment! We generally spent our days exploring Montreal, and spent cozy evenings together inside our bedroom. Stephane has decorated the entire space in a very thoughtful and beautiful way-- a generous host! We didn't get to meet Stephane, as he was on vacation, but his vibrant space speaks volumes about his character. We also spent a lot of time with his friendly cat, Pipou.
Future guests would definitely benefit from a fan in the bedroom. We didn't have a lot of air circulation and got a little bit hot at bedtime. Otherwise, no complaints.
Stephane had to go out of town while we were in Montreal and wasn't actually there, so we did not get the chance to meet him. However, we were very well taken care of by his roommate!
The room we stayed in was very comfortable. The apartment has a lot of character and definitely has a french feel to it. They have a cute little cat who takes awhile to warm up to you. Location was great and very accessible. They also had an espresso machine, which was really appreciated in the morning.
We were halfway through a Cross Canada Road trip and were able to store the food from our cooler in their fridge as well.
What else can I tell you? I would definitely stay there again.
My first trip to Montreal was a hit thanks to having such a great place to relax between adventures. Stéphane and Marie-Claude provided an experience that was like home. They have great tips on where to eat and wish I had caught up with them for a meal or drinks. That said, there place is centrally located enough and Montreal interesting enough that if you wander you will find plenty to appease your travel bug.
