About This Listing
It's a beautiful space, very private and quiet, right on a wooded gulch with lots of fruit trees. So the song birds love it. I am a landscaper so the area is filled with flowering plants.
A great "jumping off" location for major sites of Kauai.

Maureen had upgraded us to the next door unit (no. 35). The place was immaculate and offered everything that needed: separate bedroom, conferrable living-room, tv, patio etc. There's even a pool, even though we did't get a chance to use it. Everything is tastefully decorated and we felt at home right away. The unit is in the middle of beautiful trees, just like on the picture, it is however, a little dark inside.
Maureen was super friendly, quick to reply to all our inquiries and overall a great host.
The location was convenient for our purposes, about a 15 minute drive to the south shore beaches or to the West side. You do however need a car, as the unit is located in a residential neighbourhood and there are no shops or restaurants in the immediate area.
Our stay in Maureen's house was lovely. The room was tastefully decorated, cosy and very very clean. There is a separate fridge, a separate corner to place the suitcases and also a separate bathroom for the guests.
Maureen is outgoing and friendly but will leave you as much privacy as you need. We can only recommend this stay.
Maureen is a wonderful, sweet and helpful host! We really enjoyed our time in her condo...it was clean and private and their was everything we needed. The location is perfect to explore the south (eg. Poipu - Brennecke`s Beach) and the west coast (Waimea Canyon) of Kauai! I can only recommend staying here! Thank you Maureen!
My stay at Maureen's place was a good experience. The location is very quiet and in an attractive setting. Maureen was not there when I arrived, but she had friends stay at the house while I was there. They were a very nice couple and made me very much at home in Kaua'i. Thanks Maureen for sharing your'e home.
Maureen was a lovely host. She made sure we made ourselves feel at home, gave us recommendations and most importantly coffee!
The location is in a safe neighborhood with some nice views and great central placement to explore the island.
Thank you Maureen for a wonderful stay.
We had a great time staying with Maureen. The location is fantastic, only a few minutes from the main island highway, quite close to Poipu and most south coast attractions. The neighborhood is very safe, beautifully kept up, and full of (well groomed) trees, with a bit of elevation for cool evening breezes. It's pretty quiet too, except for the birds. We also had a dedicated parking spot right in front of her home.
The room is beautifully decorated and very thoughtfully laid out, with a very comfortable bed and plenty of closet space. In addition, Maureen kindly gave us access to a portion of her fridge and kitchen, and washer/dryer. The room and bathroom were all really clean.
Do be aware that due to the high cost of electricity on Kauai, there is virtually no residential A/C anywhere (apparently, this is the case even for some multi-million dollar north shore homes). But we were perfectly comfortable with using the ceiling fans for cooling.
Maureen is a fabulous host. She's a long time resident with an adventurous spirit, so she gave us good tips and we had great conversations on lots of topics. She also introduced us to some of her friends, who were wonderful and gracious people as well.
