Interaction with Guests
This is not just another rental unit. It is my second home. I hope you will enjoy the location and amenities of the property as much as I do. I've made arrangements with local services to meet your needs. I'm just a phone call away.
In the heart of the historic Charleston peninsula, you're steps away from all that makes Charleston one of the top rated cities to visit year after year.
Secure, gated parking is provided beneath the building for 1 vehicle. A city parking lot is located in the same block. Its a short taxi ride from the airport and chances are you won't need a car. Pedicabs and taxis are available at all times.
Other Things to Note
If you'd like to have the refrigerator stocked, I can probably work that out. Just be sure to send me a shopping list a week prior to arrival. We can settle costs on arrival. This service may not be available in instances of back to back rentals, but I will do my best.
Smoking is not allowed in the condo nor on the balcony. No pets, please. Please be polite to the neighbors by keeping music and noise to reasonable limits.
The entire experience was easy and Rick was always available to answer any questions. Loved relaxing at the Condo as much as touring around Charleston. Superb location and within walking distance to everything. Highly recommended!!
Rick's place was a real treat. Better than advertised and conveniently located in the heart of Charleston. We can't recommend it highly enough and hope to stay here on our next visit.
Rick was a wonderful host. He responded to our questions very quickly and made us feel right at home, could not ask for a nicer guy. The apartment is just wonderful, with a superb location for enjoying historic downtown Charleston. Parking is key in this area, and the secured first floor parking garage was a big added plus. Overall, 10 out of 10. Thanks Rick!
Rick's place was awesome, just what we needed for our weekend trip. Close to everything and very comfortable, would recommend without hesitation.
We usually stay in one of the finer hotels in Charleston but thought we would like to try something a little different. On our way to IOP, we searched airbnb and stumbled upon Rick’s listing. This was definitely a lucky find. Rick was very responsive, accepted our request to stay, provided detailed instructions and everything went smoothly. Parking is included with this accommodation and that is a very big deal in Charleston. You typically pay extra to park at the hotels and very few of them have secure parking like at this condo. After we arrived, we fell in love with Rick’s condo. It definitely has location, location, location going for it but it is so beautifully appointed and we felt relaxed and at home the minute we entered. Rick had thoughtfully left snacks and had coffee service prepared for the morning. The balcony was the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine or the morning coffee. The views from the balcony are lovely and the rooftop gives you a view of the harbor and most of the city. You can walk to almost any where in the city from this address and if you don’t feel like walking, you can call for one of the many pedi-cabs in the city. We did that one of our nights and went to our favorite restaurant in the city, McCradys (had to give a shout out to McCradys). We honestly can say this is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in while in Charleston and Rick is the epitome of Southern hospitality. We look forward to staying here again and just hope that everyone doesn’t discover this before we have a chance to book it again.
We just spent three nights in Rick's apartment in Charleston and it great! The location is great for walking, close to everything. We were there for an orientation at the College of Charleston and is was so nice to be only a few blocks from all the buildings we had events in as we could walk there quickly and then come back to drop things off and rest a bit in between things.
It was warm when we came in at first (10pm) because Rick keeps the air up when his place is empty, which is totally understandable, so we turned the AC down to about 73 to get things comfortable for sleeping and that was way too low. You only need to turn it to about 75 or 76 even for the overnights as it gets quite cold at 73, so don't turn the AC too low.
This is definitely the place to stay over a hotel. There is free off street parking and the comfort of making having a kitchen to fix breakfast, have appetizers and a drink while getting ready to go out for the evening and being close to everything that you might want to see except the beach and even that is not far. We drove out to the Folley beach for an afternoon/evening very easily and then home to relax with wine on the balcony. We did get a parking ticket on Folley for our tires hanging too far into the street (there was no room to pull farther off without being in the bushes) so be very careful parking on the street on Folley.
Very long review but.....hopefully helpful to someone in the future.
It was the perfect place to spend the weekend. We were right downtown, so we could easily walk for dinner and drinks. We watched the fireworks from the rooftop!
The apartment was great. Comfortable, clean and well decorated :)
Rick was very responsive and flexible with us. We checked in 3 hours early.
I've always lived in SC. My family came to Charleston over 300 years ago.
I travel a lot for work. My condo in Charleston is my second home. I love to be where everything is walkable.
I'm a bit of a foodie. I love good restaurants and I'm a pretty good cook. Both of my kitchens are well equipped.
