Fantastic stay on the yacht! Very comfortable and conveniently located right outside the hotel. Boat was well stocked and had plenty of space. This was a unique experience and I'm looking forward to next time!
We had such a memorable time on Eric's yacht last weekend. It is well stocked, clean and in a great location. Highly recommended for a unique bellingham experience! We will certainly return.
As a family of 6 with two working parents, we found ourselves in the car Saturday morning on Mem Day wkd without a real plan. We ended up in Bellingham and decided we wanted to stick around - we didn't realize it was Ski to Sea wkd. We were so rewarded for not having planned in advance! Eric was totally gracious and responsive to our inquiry about the yacht. The yacht was so much fun for the boys and really comfortable for the adults. The master stateroom's bed seemed bigger than a queen and had a memory foam topper - that together with a hatch we could open; drift away to sleep under the stars and the sounds of the marina - total heaven and a great weekend getaway.
The only drawback - my own Costco-skewed frame of reference makes me nervous around closed systems (water, etc.). The fear of possible scarcity was a little stressful, but that's my own issue.
We loved staying at the private dock of the Bellwether Hotel. It felt very secure and there were nice restaurants very close by. The yacht had a very well stocked kitchen although we didn't cook much. We do love our coffee in the morning, and the Kuerig machine was also well stocked! The bathrooms were great too, even a bathtub on board. We didn't meet Eric, although that was okay because the instructions to get on the yacht were fine. Would definitely stay there again.
We had a wonderful stay in Eric's beautiful yacht. It's roomier than it looks from the outside, and a great location at the Hotel Bellwether dock. We were right off the paved path around the marina and steps away from several good restaurants. We enjoyed seeing the boats pass by and watching the sunsets. It was surprisingly quiet and a fun unique getaway. Eric was very responsive when we had questions about the boat's electrical system--came right down to explain the finer points. Our only regret was not taking her out for a spin!
We mostly chose to stay on a yacht versus a hotel for our 4 & 6 year old boys, and they LOVED it. I do agree that there is a funky smell. The beds are very comfortable, and I was surprised at how great the shower was. When I had a question, Eric responded right away.
Staying aboard the "Triple NET" during our visit to Bellingham was one of the highlights of our vacation! Having cocktails on the "Lido" deck was the perfect transition into spring break after a long drive. It was lovely being rocked asleep tucked into our cozy berth each night. The location docked at the Bellwether Hotel was ideal as we enjoyed being close to downtown Bellingham, yet felt very private in our "home away from home" on the water!
