Superb (email hidden)s it its 86 steps to the top floor, but a small price to pay. The apartment itself is as described, small but functional. We had 3 kids - 6, 7 and 11, and there was just enough room for us. There are numerous shops/restaurants etc all around. It's a 5 minute stroll to Notre Dame, lots of Metro stations around. Generally we felt safe in the area. Try the local markets for some great food.
Check-in was a bit of an ordeal as we had organised to leave our bags in the apartment whilst it got cleaned, but no-one was there at the agreed time. All worked out in the end. I suggest that you have a mobile phone that works with all contact details handy.
Other than that, it's a great place to stay in.
Guys at into Paris are great to deal with. As for the apartment where we stayed it did accommodate 6 adults for bedding the only problem is that the apartment needed fixing as the floor squeaked and the plumbing could not handle 6 people. The area is great for restaurants but it can be very noisy at night. Its was easy to get to the Metro only a couple of blocks away. Groceries on the corner where you can get most things from. Security of the building was great.
A positive was that the apartment was located in a great spot in central Paris, although it was much smaller than displayed on the Internet. There was a lack of crockery and a little bit of maintenance would be handy.
nice apartment in center of Paris. quiet apartment because the windows are facing the court inside. no lift because the buildig is old. 4th floor and the stairs are narrow. would be good to repaint the walls because they look old. the beds are good, the man from the agency is very nice, the flat is clean. the bathroom is newely renovated. if anything needed - you can ask for it - they have bought iron. the location is great. supermarket is 2-3 minutes walk. main sights are very close.
Amazing location! Georges Pompidou is right outside your doorstep as well as the Stravinsky Fountain. The neighborhood is really nice and there are lots of cafes you can choose from. The apartment was spacious and is complete with everything you need. There is no lift in the building, so better get ready when you're bringing big luggage. As for the washing machine, might I suggest that an English instruction card be available? Hopefully there will also be a spare key, too. Other than these, I would say a very good place to stay in when you're in Paris. Won't hesitate to come back and stay here again.
Location, location, location! Absolutely in the middle of Paris. Across the street from the hotel de Ville, minutes from notre dame, next to the hotel de Ville metro stop, what else can I say? Plenty of restaurants, shopping, and groceries nearby. My son and I loved the Joker of Paris game shop and the other party shop acros from BHV. The only drawback, and it may be a big one, is you're on the 4th floor (5th floor for USA) with no lift. Not suitable for really young kids, most seniors, or anyone with mobility issues. Toting the luggage up was a bit of work, coming down, not so much. We tried to plan our day for a max of two trips a day up and down the steps. The bonus is you're burning off any calories from the excellent French food. Also, its a dedicated rental apartment (not occupied permanently) youll get fresh sheets and towels when you check in, which is more like a hotel. the bathroom is recently refurbished and very nice! Despite the stairs, I would definitely rent here again.
Excellent apartment in amazing location. I would definitively recommend this place. Dimitri was very helpful waiting for us at the house when we arrived (train was delayed). The apartment has everything you need, close to cheap supermarkets, great bakeries and cafe-brasseriesand it is very quiet at night (I could not believe we were in central Paris). The only small problem are the 4 floors that you have to walk (sorry, no lift), but it's a good exercise to burn part of the calories that you'll eat during the day!
I was in business trip. And still don't have payment receipt. So that I don't have good reference. Next timer for me it is not suitable
Jérome, Elyes and Dimitri are very friendly and helpful.
We originally booked one apartment that turned out to have a technical problem so the guys at “into paris” arranged an alternative apartment for us, which turned out to be even better than the original one, for the same price.
They met us at the agreed time and location and even helped us get the heavy bags to the top floor.
When we moved to the second apartment, they took care of transferring everything to the new location. We did not lose any time over the change and simply met Jérome at the new address at the end of our day.
Overall we had a great time in Paris partly because of the beautiful apartment in the very convenient location in the heart of Paris.
The guys at “into paris” did everything they could to make our time enjoyable and we highly recommend them.
Most of the other reviews cover the pros and cons of the apartment pretty well. I will only add that the host was very friendly and helpful and made sure we had all the linens we needed, even going out and buying some on the spot when he saw we were short. He also carried my wife's heavy suitcase up the 4 flights of stairs to the apt which was above and beyond.
We had 6 people in our group... which worked fine since 3 were children, but if it's 6 adult travellers, just be aware that there are only 3 sleeping spots so we had to do 3 in one bed, 2 in another and 1 in the last. Again, this was perfectly fine for us, but if the adults in your group aren't comfortable sharing beds, this could be an issue.
