Steven was a very nice host. Condo looks like in pictures, the view and the pool are amazing!
The condo is even better than the pictures.
We felt at home. The pool was great. We felt very safe and secure.
The security staff were always making rounds.
The area was very welcoming of American , even though we do not speak any spanish, we still go along fine with the locals.
Any questins we had texted the owner were answered very quick.
All the little stuff we needed was already at the condo like sugar, a cooler, salt and peper.
I would stay here for the rest of my life, if I didn't have to go back to work.
I spent the first week of January 2013 at the condo.
Things turned out a little differently than we had planned... my husband got sick with the flu just before leaving, so I decided to go on the trip alone.
I was pretty nervous at first- picking up the car and navigating alone in a strange place on New Years Eve... I arrived in Coco OK, and picked up the key, but it was getting dark by the time I was ready to drive the small roads to the condo... I finally asked a taxi to guide me up to Villa des Collina..
The security guards were very kind, and helped me into the condo.
Actually , on reflection, everyone that I met on my way that first day was very gentle and helpful - it`s just that I was wary of unknown dangers...
I was sooo happy to finally arrive in a safe ,AIR CONDITIONED place! I was exhausted, and crashed for the night- no champagne and fireworks this year...
I woke up the next morning to explore the environment.
The condo is very comfortable and pleasant, but what I absolutely LOVED was the great pool and view !
What a great place to start every day with my coffee and fruit breakfast! I love to swim, and was so happy that the pool is large enough to swim lengths (very unusual)
From that morning on- it got better every day.
I connected with a young couple who run a small Yoga Centre in COCO- who quickly made me feel at home.
I spent a wonderful day touring the Rincon Volcano area, ziplinning, and finally relaxing at the Symbiosis mud spa.
Together with a woman living in the condo complex, we used my rented car to explore the wonderful beaches south of COCO.(Playa Conchal, Playa Flamingo) and dancing into the night at the lively beach bar past the little bridge in Playa Coco.
So the week flew by very quickly, and I had an amazing time.
The last night I hosted a little dinner party by the pool for my new Costa Rican friends. A wonderful starry night.
It was a very special holiday for me... and I`m so glad that I found this place on AIR BNB !
I loved the fact that the condo is located slightly apart from noisy Coco, amidst the real Costa Rican villages... and the view up in the hills is THE BEST!
I would highly recommend the place to anyone!
