Our cozy cabin is situated in wine and grapevine country and surrounded by natural plantings and tons of wildlife. Have a glass of wine under the oaks or prepare a farmer's market based repast in the fully equipped charming kitchen.
Four of us stayed at the Cloverdale Country Cabin last weekend and we loved it! First of all, it is beautiful inside and thoughtfully decorated (as another reviewer wrote: the photos, lovely as they are, do not do it justice). While we visited it rained, but the living room, with its large windows, was a lovely place to gaze out at the trees and bird watch.
Karen was also a very attentive host, keeping in great communication, making a point to meet us in person, and even bringing us some olive oil when we forgot to bring our own!
I would definitely recommend spending a wine country weekend here with friends.
We had a terrific weekend in the Cloverdale Coyntry cabin. Its really beautiful inside and out (the pictures don't do it justice). We had a group of 4 and it was just the right amount of space. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed for cooking (including a coffee grinder/maker) and Karen was super nice and provided a few items for breakfast.
We definitely plan on staying at Karen's cabin next time we're in the Healdsburg area!
Karen's cabin was just what we were looking for - a nice, quiet getaway weekend with all the amenities you'd need (the lack of wifi was a nice way to unplug for us!). Karen was a great host, checked on us shortly after we arrived and was responsive with any questions we texted her (from suggestions on where to eat, where to buy food, etc.). The cabin itself was delightful -- everything was modern and clean. I wouldn't hesitate to come and stay here again. It's a private, serene setting -- and we even saw a few deer!
We had a great time at Karen's cabin. Loved the detailing that has been put into designing the cabin - the lovely interiors, the wooden swing, the rocking chair, the picnic table etc. Karen was available via text to answer questions & provide sightseeing recommendations. She came to say hello and to make sure we were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to enjoy great views of Sonoma and easy access to all the local vineyards. We will surely be back -:)
We had a fantastic visit and wished we were staying for longer than one night once we saw the cabin. No problems finding the place. The cabin is located in a quiet area set well back from the highway in wooded hills near vineyards. Two large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Very clean. Beautiful interior details. Karen was easy to get in touch with, met us promptly upon arrival, and thoroughly answered all of our questions. Overall great experience, highly recommended.
Karen's cabin is wonderful! The setting is private and peaceful, with nice landscaping great bird watching.
The cabin is immaculate and well designed. The beds are very comfortable with good linens. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking amazing, locally sourced food.
Karen was a gracious host, with many suggestions for local resources.
Hi Susan, Thank you for the info about the freezer---I see what you mean, after checking it out. Thank you for your super nice review and thank you for the brownies. I feel very bad that I was neglecting airbnb and I didn't get a review written within their 2 weeks. You guys were great---I'm asking airbnb whether I can do it belatedly.
Sounds like you had a wonderful trip out west. All best to you, Karen
My two travel companions and I enjoyed a delightful weekend exploring wine country with Cloverdale Country Cabin as our home base. The cabin is charmingly furnished and thoughtfully appointed; the quality and attention to detail of the finishings are evident throughout. The bedrooms are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-equipped and the bathroom shower is lovely. We enjoyed lazy mornings making breakfast and reading on the outdoor patio swing.
The nature and views outside the cabin are very relaxing. The cabin is within a 15 minute drive from Dry Creek and Alexander Valley wineries and several excellent restaurants in Geyserville.
Karen was very responsive during the reservation process and provided us with great advice about restaurants and attractions in the area. I also appreciated her flexibility with respect to our check-in and check-out time.
Hi Michelle, Thank you for the info about the skylight. When my husband and i lived in the cabin for 9 months, we never slept in that bedroom---and I didn't think about how bright the skylight might be. Will definitely look into getting a retractable covering.
Also, re: the distance to Catelli's in Geyserville, for example; during the summer from around May 20 thru November 15, there is a gravel road and bridge across the Russian River that cuts off 10 minutes of driving time to the south. So Geyserville is only a 5-7 minute drive. Healdsburg around 12-15. Much better for visiting wineries at harvest time!
Glad you had a good time. A pleasure to meet you.!
