Enjoy the fabulous view of Dunguaire Castle from this thatch cottage residence. Only a five minute stroll along the sea front to the fishing village of Kinvara which boasts fine restaurants and lively pubs. Kinvara is en route to the Cliffs of Moher.
I have to say I love living here. I have sea and castle views from my window and a garden out front with enough space for my herb and veg patch. Together with my garden and hens I offer something a little different with a true country living experience, yet only minutes from town. Inside is spacious and that includes the bedrooms also, the stove keeps the house warm on chilly nights.
Apart from a private double room, equipped with wash hand basin and tea making facilities, guests have access to the downstairs area including all kitchen appliances, oven, fridge, washing machine etc. Although I do not supply breakfast, guests are welcome to use the kitchen to cater for all their culinary needs, alternatively there are friendly cafes just a 5 minute sea stroll away . There is also wireless internet connection. The bathroom is shared and has an electric shower with good water pressure.
From March- October there are two bedrooms available in my cottage, each with identical facilities and castle views. If you find that the date is unavailable on this listing you can find it on my other identical listing.
Interaction with Guests
I love meeting new people and chatting to visitors and can supply some good tips for local interesting sites eg: holy wells, Burren walks, beach strolls. I have a keen interest in Burren flora and know many mountain walks off the beaten track.
I'm only five minutes walk from the village so it's lovely to head into town for the regular traditional music session or to the Italian restaurant for one of their fine pizzas. There is a fabulous open farmers market every Friday from Spring through to late Autumn with great music to listen to while folk catch up and have a coffee. The George on the Quay or the Strawberry Hedgehog cafe do a great breakfast, again only minutes from the cottage.
To be honest the best way of getting around in this area is by car hire. There is a bus that travels to Galway twice a day, this bus service goes to Cliff of Moher also.
Other Things to Note
You will have the delight of meeting my extremely friendly and cuddly dog Nanook and her trusty side-kick Max, the most gorgeous German Shepard.
*Please note, if you would like to book two rooms in the house you can book one room here and another at this link:https://www.airbnb.ie/manage-listing/2153822/calendar.
As this is a self service venture, guests are required to leave the kitchen as they found it.
Please note check in is after 6pm. If a difficulty arises around check in (ie: an early Castle banquet booking) please contact me in advance to facilitate possible alternative arrangements.
Emma and Peter made us feel most welcome in their home. The cottage was just as described, cozy and well located. We would recommend this listing.
My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful time staying with Emma. Her home was lovely and comfortable with plenty of space. We also enjoyed her dogs who were very cute. The location of their home is really convenient as well. We were happy to wander the area during the day and sit down for a chat with Emma in the morning or the evening. I would very much recommend staying there :).
My friend and I had a very lovely stay with Emma, her cottage is just gorgeous, and trust me the view from the window is just amazing !
Emma was nice and welcoming, we had a great time with her, and it was really nice talking to her !
We had an amazing time there, and with the dogs as well !
Everything was just perfect, we loved it !
In Kinvara, a lovely little town near Galway, we had our B&B room with a beautiful "Castle-view". Emma and Peter made us feel comfortable in the cosy white cottage. We had several discussions over al kind of things and we are up-to-date now on the subject of a superfood, named wheat-grass. (When you go there you múst taste it, it"s an experience!)
Kinvara offers all you need: shops, little restaurants (good quality) and several pubs. People we met in the pub are open and easy to contact with. Nature is astonishing. We made lovely walks in the neighbourhood.

Emma and Peter were nice hosts. We were only in for the night, and on Good Friday at that. Wish we could have stayed in this nice little town to try out the pubs. The cottage is in a great location, right across from the castle. Was a quiet, nice stay for my girlfriend and I. Maybe we will come back to this nice little town and this nice little cottage someday.
We had great experience in this place, thanks Emma and Peter to add lots of nice memories to our (website hidden); go there and taste Peter's special wheatgrass juice!

Friendly and cheery, I will make you most welcome in my lovely home. There are some fantastic walks in the surrounding area if that's your thing. I know if I was traveling to a new country I would want to know all the beautiful places in nature the locals like to visit.
If the date you're looking at isn't available check out my other listing for the other bedroom in the house here's the link on the air BnB (website hidden)/rooms/2153822
