Drew's spot in Asheville was absolutely perfect! Having never been to the city it was a sweet area to explore and we found it perfectly situated between downtown and the River Arts District (and for floating down the Broad River). We had a car but we didn't use it all the time as it was about a 20 min walk downtown and a hop/skip to the Arts District. The street was in a cozy neighborhood and VERY quiet. The house had everything we needed, even a cooler. It was clean and super comfy for us 3 ladies. Drew was out of town but was accessible for any of our needs and was fully "present" to attend to questions we had. Great host, great spot, great price and great town! A perfect vacation
Had a great time at this house. Close to downtown (~15 minute walk) and in a cool little neighborhood. Host was very responsive to any questions.
Wonderful experience! The interior and amenitites of the house exceeded expectations. Andrew thought of everything we might need.
Rooms we beautiful and comfortable, although the bed in the taupe colored bedroom with the white comforter was way more firm than I would have liked. The place was extremely clean and there was even coffee waiting for us. Plenty of towels and extra linens available, washer and dryer right there made our lives much easier.
There is not much privacy withing the unit as bedrooms and bathroom are all clustered together so you should be comfortable hearing your housemates. ;)
I would also have to say that the house is not one block from downtown in terms of where you would want to shop or eat but it is a short drive away and parking is never a problem. It is walking distance to the River Arts district. We also would have liked more of an outdoor area to sit in as the lovely porched was very shaded and the mosquitos liked to hang out there.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Tied for the best Airbnb experience so far. Thanks Andrew, for a lovely and comfortable stay!
After a crazy day of tubing on the river and bouncing around to breweries, Andrew's house was the perfect place for the three of us to crash...it's spacious and adorable in a cute little neighborhood. There was plenty of parking nearby and it was about a twenty minute walk downtown so we didn't have to drive anywhere later that night.
The rooms were so comfortable, and a huge plus was the hair dryer that was provided in the bathroom, since I had forgotten mine.
Everything was better than advertised. Home was clean and lovely! Andrew was a terrific host!
Andrew was the perfect host! He kept in contact w/us prior to arrival, and offered helpful dining suggestions during our stay! His adorable bungalow is just as pictured. It is charming inside & out. Quiet neighborhood a quick walk to the River Arts District & so close to Downtown and all Asheville has to offer. We had the perfect girls get away; I can't wait to come back to this relaxing cottage!!
About the Host, Andrew
I moved to the Asheville area in 1999 and fell in love with it. I love the people, the beauty, the food and the culture. I love being outdoors: running, being on the water, skiing and kayaking.
I love exploring new places, but I enjoy going to familiar places as well such as New York and all over New England. Hawaii is still my favorite destination to visit.
