Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
Located seven minutes from Volcanoes National Park, this Cedar A-frame is nestled in the Hawaiian rainforest. This is a great base for exploring the waterfalls and beautiful beaches on the East side of the Big Island.
At 4,000 foot elevation you will enjoy the cooler weather. The floor to ceiling window provides a lovely connection to nature.
No cleaning fee or service charges.

The space
Settle into the cozy cottage with the wood burning stove or head out to explore the sights of the Big Island’s east side. You may be greeted by native birds hopping around on the hapu’u (native tree ferns) right outside the windows.
The gourmet kitchen is equipped with a Viking stove, blender, toaster oven, microwave, French press and coffee grinder.
Haku House is perfect for working remotely as our internet speed is excellent.
The owners are photographers and lovers of art. You’ll find photographs and paintings on the walls and other art objects for you to enjoy.

Guest access
Enjoy dining at a table that looks out to the native Hawaiian forest. On a clear night, step outdoors and view the amazing stars. The yard is lit up on full moon nights. Since there are no street lights, there is no light pollution.

Other things to note
Delicious seasonal fruit, English muffins with fixings and the most amazing Ka'u coffee (better than Kona coffee!) to welcome you when you check in!
