Neighborhood is quiet and residential. This is the downstairs unit of a 2 unit house. So there is an apartment apartment above you, so try to be quiet and considerate of your neighbor. Tranquil and chill guests only, please, so everyone can enjoy the peaceful ambience here.

The apartment was exactly as described and Tracy met us as we arrived so our arrival was easy. I appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the excellent use of IKEA blended with funky retro for a fun decor. The neighborhood felt safe though clearly run down, Atlanta is the destination not the immediate area. Easy access to the highway made reaching Atlanta easy, 15 minutes to the center of the city.
We enjoyed our stay over Christmas, 2014, very much. It was particularly nice to have a complete home with two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen for us: senior adult parents and a 30-something child. We also enjoyed preparing some of our own meals -- particularly Christmas "dinner" on a day when restaurant options are limited. In the five days we were there, we managed to use ALL the kitchen appliances, including the washer and dryer.
We also liked the upbeat decorating style -- half IKEA, half tasteful flea market finds, yet sparsely enough furnished to leave room for our luggage and staple supplies. There's also a big-screen TV, satellite dish, and Wi-Fi.
Charming neighborhood, close to stores and fast food, less than a mile to Interstate access, and also close to a MARTA station (although with three of us and two cars, we never used MARTA).
In past years, I have been hospitalized over one Christmas and stuck in a chain motel due to car problems on another Christmas trip. So we were thrilled to be in a homey place for this past holiday.
This was a super experience for a reticent first-time Airbnb user. It will be hard for future bookings to live up to the standards set by this visit.
The house is great, clean, well equipped and is just almost at the entrance of the main road. Had a pleasant and quiet stay.
We never crossed paths with Tracy or Forrest during our weekend stay. Their place is a very cute and homey place to stay. The location is close to a MARTA station, walk and driving distance. We felt safe during our stay, even when getting in a late at night. As the place is very roomy and very affordable, we recommend this place. Even though only two of us stayed during my visit this place will easily accommodate lager groups.
Tracy's place is very well decorated, clean, and spacious! We really enjoyed our stay. Having a full kitchen and washer/dryer was an awesome plus. The place is really close to both a grocery store and a MARTA station, so it was super easy to get supplies and travel to downtown Atlanta. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone looking to visit the city.
This place was amazing. Perfect location in East Point! We were there for a show at the Aaron's Amphitheater and it was only 6 minutes away. Really close to everything actually. The hospitality was great in the area too. Very accommodating for our large group (7 people) as well. The place was huge, bathroom was clean with awesome hot showers, and comfy beds. If I stay in Atlanta again, I will definitely stay here. I highly recommend this garden flat.
My friend Jon and I stayed at Tracy's home located in East Point, and I believe that we were the first guests to ever stay there. It was a private, two bedroom apartment, fully equipped with a kitchen and a washer and dryer. The apartment was very nicely decorated. My only concern was the mold growing on the wall in the shower.

Easy going, creative types. We like cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and try to find beauty in all things. We love to have fun and not take life too seriously. We enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture much at all. We love to buy houses and fix them up. We have quite a few places where we host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. When staying in a private room, you will be in a room in one of our houses, most likely, there will be a couple of dogs in the house as well, so animal lovers usually love staying with us. Our properties are in lower income neighborhoods where real, local ATLiens live. You won't see many tourists around, mostly, just typical working class folks who love to sit on the front porch and unwind as part of Southern culture. We always say hello to each other in passing, so please be friendly and observe our friendly custom when encountering locals, they will appreciate the gesture. Because we are in a lower income neighborhood, we can offer more upscale accommodations to travelers on a budget. Also, for travelers relying on public transportation, we are on the Marta line conveniently situated halfway between the Airport and downtown. Our rates are very reasonable and not subject to negotiation. Rates, terms, and policies are fixed and applied equally to all guests. We look forward to hosting you one day soon.
