I had stayed with Anne and her husband Gerard previously on this trip so I knew when I returned with my sister and her partner that we would be receiving the gold standard of room quality, amenities, and breakfast. Don't let that Irish bungalow exterior fool you. Everything is hotel (a particularly good hotel) quality when staying at the Sheridans in Tallinstown, County Louth. Contemporary room decor, toiletries, tasteful linens/bedding, a splendid breakfast with a menu of choices... nothing is overlooked from the moment you walk in the door. If all these things can be overshadowed it is simply that the welcome and genuine interest shown from Anne and Gerard makes you believe that there really is such a thing as "Irish hospitality." Separately they are located a walk from the sweet little village of Tallinstown, and an area with quite a bit of local history. They are a forty minute drive to the glorious Carlingford Lough and a mere fifty minutes from Dublin airport... a pretty sweet location to slip away from the grind of life and relax for a long weekend.

The host Anne and her husband Gerard are the kind of people you run into and instantly make your day better by spending a few minutes in their company. Interesting, world traveled yet essentially Irish and kind to the core. The house is immaculate, the rooms are tasteful, everything is done with care and attention. Great ambassadors for the area and fun.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Louth Hall B&B on a number of occasions. The welcome from Anne and Gerard is always outstanding as is the quality of accommodation; including magnificent Full Irish Breakfasts! Tallanstown (a former winner of Ireland’s tidiest town competition) is a lovely quiet rural location and yet is within easy reach of Ardee, Dundalk and the M1 motorway.

This was my second stay with Anne which in its self says a lot for how much I valued the hospitality and quality of accommodation that I previously expereinced at Louth Hall B&B. I cannot fault the kindness and openhearted welcome that was extended to me. The quality of the accommodation, food and the beauty of the locality (Tallanstown) were all of a very high standard (delightful) too. Needless to say I look forward to returning to Louth Hall B&B in the future. It’s like a home from home. Thank you Anne.
