Around the corner from Pat's and Geno's cheesesteaks. Hard to park after 5 pm.
We are only 0.6 mile or 12 min walking to South Street.
South St is the start of City Center.
We are bus ride or walking to The Liberty Bell, (1.2 mile)
This location is on the desirable Italian Market neighborhood and famous Geno's and Pat's cheese steaks. Not a bad neighborhood for this city but not a pretty neighborhood if you are coming from a pretty city with very clean streets. When comparing it to other neighborhoods in Philadelphia my area is safe and close to everything. That is why I chose to live here instead of other part of the city.

In this neighborhood Street parking, no meters, no parking permit needed, except in some blocks, read the signs before parking if a permit needed. No need to move car from one side of street to the other for streets cleaning even if sign says so. My Block now has become a 2 hour parking only but other blocks are without time limit.

Pets: We have a cat named Sirleaf. Sometimes we foster very young kittens for one of the local shelters that we volunteer. We will list it here when we have fosters.
Right now is only Sirleaf.

I can be reached by phone, mail, text if you do not see me when you are home.

The Neighborhood

Neighborhood is safe , that Is why we moved to this part of the city. We find the location very convenient to live. IF you want to be in the middle of all the attractions try to stay in Center City. From Front St. to 17 St and Vi ne St. to South st. We are just south of that area in the start of South philadelphia. Our block is mostly Italian and most houses are 3 floors where traditionally 3 generations of Italians live. There are many Asian neighbors and Latins as well. We also have many restaurants, The Italian Market and two parks a block or two away.

Getting Around

Bus 47 at corner. Or you can visit Center City Attractions by foot, it is pleasant to walk if you come during good weather.

Other Things to Note

Restaurants are all around and walking distance from home.
Laundry is also two short blocks from home.
This is a very mixed neighborhood where everyone fits and is accepted and respected.

I have now done this for a while and I have gladly hosted some really nice people from all over the world :) I offer my humble home to meet nice people from different cultures and help them to stay in a private home vs a hotel. Yes, AirBNB brings in a little
extra spending money after paying taxes from it but I do not do this just to MAKE (URL HIDDEN) is NOT a hotel. I would like to discourage guests who might see AirBNB as a hotel arrangement and maybe have hotel expectations. Thank you for your understanding :) Also, AirBNB is mostly people offering to share their HOME. Please post a visible pic and say something about yourself, your travel partner if any, and the purpose of your visit so hosts may determine whom to accept; I guarantee it will make your search much easier and faster! :)

IMPORTANT NOTE: AIRBNB hosts do not have licenses, insurances certifications etc as hoteliers, therefore you are not protected as you would if you were staying in a hotel or a Bed and Breakfast.
By booking with this AirBnb host you are agreeing not to make responsible your hosts of any physical damage to you or any guest and your belongings if they arise as a result of an accident not caused by the host.

Hello dear guests:
I am
Alma, The picture is of my daughter and I.

About our home: It is situated in Italian market neighborhood. It is a safe and quiet neighborhood; Public transportation is almost at the door on each corner of the block. Philadelphia is a walking city and this location allows to do a lot of sightseeing without needing public transportation, the distance to Liberty Bell is 1.2 miles, or a 25 minutes walk. It is a neighborhood with many places to eat, including the famous Philadelphia Cheese steaks, Pat and Geno's, open 24 hours a day and just a 2 minutes walk from the house.
I can guide you in the right direction, give you advice on things to do and see, and help you to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

WARNING: A friendly, peaceful and clean CAT lives in this home.
