  • This place is in a great location! Lots of movement around the apartment, so if you aren't looking to be in the middle of the buzz, this may not be the place for you. Old buildings, shopping, and great food surrounds you.

I came during December, and the weather was quite chilly. The apartment itself was quite cold despite the small space heater. Aside from that small issue, I had a very pleasant stay, and Ebru was available for questions along the way which I value.

    Thanks for a nice trip!

  • Big warning!! Ebru doesn't rent out the whole flat. She rents out a room in a flat. She has two listings, for the same flat, but it is very difficult to tell. Once we found out that we may be renting a room and sharing the flat with another couple of person we asked her if that was the case. She agreed to rent out both rooms for an extra charge of 70 euros. So be aware!

However, Big thanks Ebru, for the bottle of wine, and the lovely flat. It is superbly located, close to the beach which was brilliant and right there next to the nightlife. We had a great stay but we were very worried about having to share a flat. It was our one year anniversary and we wanted a place to our selves!

    Response from Ebrud:

thanks David it was great to host you and your girlfriend! By the way I
rent the whole flat so there is no warning about that :)

  • I liked to stay at Ebru´s flat... it is in a perfect location and very nice and you have everything you need. Earplugs are recommended if you stay there at the weekends. During weekdays it was relatively quiet. I would stay with her again.

  • Ebru’s flat is a great place to stay in Barcelona. I had a great experience staying here. Just as the pictures portray the apartment is clean, orderly with high ceilings and had everything we needed. It's in a perfect location right in the middle of the Borne District, which is also next to the Gothic District and a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the beach- literally steps from the Picasso museum and the Jaime I metro stop. Easy to get to from the airport as well.
Ebru had some good local recommendations and tips for us that made our Barcelona experience a better one.
The location is great if you are after excellent tapas bars and streets not crowded with thousands of tourists and the accompanying tourist shops. It is an area with more boutiques filled with handcrafted artisan goods, cozy cafes and delicious restaurants. There is a born market close by is an excellent alternative to the Boqueria with great tapas bars around where you could sit outside in a terrace. The Parc Ciudadela, la rambla, Cathedral and old town is only a very short walk away.
She is very friendly, peaceful, and knowledgeable about the city and flexible with the check-in/checkout process. And my friend and I had a very nice conversation with her one night over a glass of wine. There is WIFI!
You should definitely stay here. Thanks for everything!

  • Ebru's apartment in El Born is cosy and well located.

It's perfect for two people, but anymore than that will get tight. The kitchen is very small and barely contains the necessary amenities for cooking for two.
The apartment is pretty worn down, dirty and there is a big lack of water pressure. Barely enough to do the dishes. The freezer didn't work. The fridge was full of old food and really dirty so we spend the first afternoon of our vacation on cleaning.
We even had a water leakage during our stay so we got back to an apartment with a wet floor and a janitor working.
The bathroom is very disgusting and full of mold. The water pressure was so bad that it was very hard to get a normal shower. If you put on the water in the kitchen when somebody is showering there is not enough water for either.

The area is nice but very very noisy at night, so bring earplugs! We are used to living in city center of Copenhagen, but this is worse. The streets are cleaned every night at 1 am, which is hard to sleep by.

All in all we had a nice stay. If the above mentioned is fixed then the apartment is great and we would consider coming back.

We never met Ebru, but she seems very nice and helpful. She compensated us with a free night and late check-out due to the poor shape of the apartment.

  • I had a great stay at Ebru's apartment. It was as late a notice as it could be- I contacted her the day I needed to check in, and she was super accommodating. The apartment is a cute little two bedroom in a super awesome part of town. This was a great deal, and as a host Ebru was great, super responsive, and really really nice.

  • The flat is perfectly located in Barcelona.Everything is in walking distance...accept la sagrada familia. The flat ist surrounded by nice little shops, markets, tapas bars etc. But living in the middle of el born means it is a little bit noisy at bring earplugs:-). You will enjoy the stay.

I love art, music, food, traveling, meeting new people... That's the reason i live in Barcelona and i have a lovely flat in the best part of the city El Born which is one of Barcelona's most diverse and dynamic parts full of hidden surprises and adventures. I'm working in an advertising agency also i have a passion for jewelery design. I love finding new restaurant&cafes and a good movie on a weekend makes me happy! I still have time for riding my bike and enjoy the city as much as i can.. Who knows you might just love it too! :)
