After hundreds of Airbnb guests have passed through our places, more than 500 nearly all POSITIVE REVIEWS we would like to imagine we are beginning to be experienced (website hidden) please ASK questions and find out all of our little advantages over other listings like for example FREE TOURS of our neighbourhood the beautiful Gothic quarter, easy transport to and from the airport, authentic apartments and last but not least GREAT VALUE accommodation in the SMACK BANG CENTRE of BARCELONA!!!!!
What we offer:
A 60 min WALKING TOUR in the Gothic quarter around the apartment for inside tips on Catalan traditions, Spanish culture, great restaurants, nice cafe's, funky bars, historical sites, Gaudi buildings and great things to see and do in Barcelona.
There is also clean towels, sheets and a fan (Barcelona is hot during
(toilet paper, soap, towels, tea, coffee and cereal in the kitchen)
There is a kitchen available for guest use if you don't want to eat out with access to fridge etc.
We have two cleaners, Mariom and Cathy who also host for us when we travel. They are great and know Barcelona very well, they come to clean every day for a few hours in the morning.
About the room:
The room is small - we would describe best as a room for two friends who need safe, quiet and good value place to stay in the centre of the Barcelona. It is a quiet room with easy access to the bathroom and kitchen. It has a window and receives natural light during the day. There are two single beds just like on the photo which stretch out wall to wall so if you are tall keep this in mind. There is free wireless internet in the apartment that requires a code that you can find in the apartment.
There are also two bathrooms, one with a shower and toilet and the other with just a toilet and wash basin. This authentic apartment is full of Catalan memories with old Spanish tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, wooden beams all along the apartment and typical Spanish shutters. It is a huge apartment (185m squared) with two bathrooms, one shower, kitchen, living room, washing machine, internet, two large rooms and two small rooms.
NOTE: We have moved apartment so we do not live in this apartment but we live a few minutes away and visit the house twice a day, we also try to organize more than 2 tours per week...
About the price:
There is a 15 euro charge per extra guest. There is no charge for children under 3 :)
We have a late check in fee, as we cannot come to give keys late at night so we arrange for Mariom to be there to make sure you will be looked after when you arrive!
About the location:
The apartment is located in the centre of Barcelona in the 1st District “ La Ciutat Vella”, it is in the heart of the Gothic quarter next to "Plaza Reial" with lanterns by Gaudi and a step away from The Famous pedestrian boulevard " The Ramblas" (The main street in Barcelona) with Gaudi's building "Palau Guell" 1 Min away. We are situated close to most of the well-known tourist attractions. The apartment is on "Escudellers street" famous for having its old restaurants and Catalan Tapas bars. There is also ‘’Plaza St. George Orwell’ (locally known as “Plaza Tripi"), all around the corner. The nearby streets contain many of the city's most emblematic buildings.
The narrow, winding streets create quite a labyrinth meaning it can take a while to get one's bearings! I recommend that you should always look up and around in case of missing some of the nicest sites. The Gothic quarter has plenty of peaceful squares (plazas) where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings. If we are around during your stay I will gladly take you on a tour of the neighbourhood so you can find your feet here!
Transport is easily accessible in this part of town (metro, taxi, bus). However this quarter is relatively small and most of the city’s attractions are a walk away distance. Our housekeeper also offers transport if you need it.
Getting to the apartment couldn’t be easier with the shuttle bus leaving the airport regularly to “Plaza Cataluña”. The apartment is roughly 12 minutes walk from Plaza Cataluña down the Ramblas. Or alternatively one stop on the metro to “Liceu” L3 (green line) leaving you a minute away. There is also a taxi stand 30 meters down the street plus 24h underground parking.
The other great thing is we can put you in touch with our friends who do great value transport to and from the airport whatever time you need – their prices range from 25 – 35 euro depending on the time of day/night and that price includes up to 4 people + 4 bags. REALLY GOOD VALUE!
Flow has lived here for many years, his Grandmother being Catalan. Flow and I met here in Barcelona years ago when we studied theatre and happily decided to continue on our Barcelona adventure. Between us speak Spanish, French and English :)
For any further information please contact us - we will be willing to help in any way possible!
Flow and Anuk:)
There are 2 single beds in this room with a wardrobe (lockable with a key we provide) outside the room. The room is very small but clean, cosy and central. We provide all bedding, blankets and towels. Guests have access to the shared kitchen (with fridge, oven, hot plate, microwave, plates, pots, pans, cups, glasses etc) and bathroom facilities which are shared with 2 other bedrooms.
Interaction with Guests
Depending on our schedule we come in and out of the flat to mix with our guests. We travel a lot but we always have a good group of people who help us out with the cleaning and check in's. Over the years we have made amazing connections with guests and have continued the friendship well after they have gone. We love to welcome people in and show off the Barcelona lifestyle when we can...
We love Barcelona that is why we are still here. We renovate old buildings trying to keep their authentic charm and in doing so begun a journey to discover the old secrets of this Gothic quarter.
In this neighbourhood you can find everything from museums to restaurants, parks, beautiful shops, churches, cave-like bars all hidden in the labyrinth of little streets stretching out from the front door.
The beach is great in summer and the night life buzzes all around in the evening.
We love the food, the people, the craziness, the languages and the ease in which can travel to and from Barcelona.
Visitors should take note of the different neighbourhoods like the Borne, Raval and of course the Gothic quarter. The street music near the Cathedral, the hidden Plaza of Sant Felip Neri, Passeig del Borne, Barceloneta and the beaches. Drink lots of coffee of the plaza's and people watch during the day. Hotel Neri's roof top for a glass of wine at night. The flea market early Sunday morning on Plaza Reial, or the second hand market at Enants near Metro Glories...
Although one can walk to nearly everywhere there is public transport very close by:
Metro green line is one minute walk away -
'Liceu' on the green line
'Drassanes' on the green line
5 minutes walk away yellow line
Bus 59 and 14 at the end of the street (less than one minute walk)
Taxi's are also at the end of the street

Location was conveniently near the old town center and the beaches. We used the metro to get to further places. Flo met us and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Room was very small - there was an external closet to store our backpacks. Clean sheets but dusty floors and shared bathrooms were in poor repair- the sink drain was disconnected and dumped water onto the bathroom floor. Neighbors were EXTREMELY noisy at 01:00-04:00am making sleep very difficult. Would be an ok stop for someone looking for a clean cheap room if you intend to be out all hours of the night, I would not recommend for someone looking for a good nights sleep before a day of travel.
The reservation was canceled 166 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Really nice Apartment and the perfect location to visit Barcelona. It´s easy to reach and absolutely central. The room is really small and the beds only advisable for short people but for this price absolutely recommendable. The place itself seems more like a guest house than a private apartment, but all for all a really nice place for a really good price.
Great hosts made us feel super comfortable, chilled atmosphere and beautiful decor, slept like a dream. X
Anu and Flo are nice hosts. The room is small but cosy. The flat is perfect to stay for a week or even longer, specially for young travelers. The location is perfect!

Great to meet you!
We live in the beautiful Barcelona and we have discovered the joy of hosting people coming to Barcelona and sharing our experience of the city. We rent several apartments in the old historical centre of the city, and for those on a budget we also have rooms to rent. We offer a personal insight into the city!
The things we love about Barcelona? Sunshine, music, food, the ever creative, moving energy of the people and sitting having coffee in the hidden plaza´s...
Hasta Luego, see you soon :)
