Seeking a relaxing and quiet spot to unwind, yet is minutes from all the excitement of Pittsburgh? Then go no further. Allow me to host you for a stay at my home, located less than 10 minutes to downtown Pittsburgh, the stadiums and other attractions
Before entering the home, you will be impressed by the charm of this 1920s corner lot build on my quiet street. Its large front porch is perfect for having your morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine later in the day (or any time for that matter). In warmer months, open the side windows and feel a nice summer pass thorough. The house faces north, so it's never too sunny or hot!
Step into the house and you are in the family room. Here and throughout other areas of the home, old meets new. Relax on the white leather sectional. The enclosed built-ins are filled with antiques and board games.
From the family room, you pass through French doors into the dining room. The detail in this room is amazing. From wood beams on the ceiling to the textured wall paper, and framed blueprints of the home, there is lots to see.
Off the dining room is the more recently remodeled kitchen. If I am home, you may use the kitchen to heat meals etc., but the kitchen will not be available for preparing elaborate meals. Feel free to use the Keurig for coffee or tea, too. From here, you may go into the basement or pass through to the television/sun room. The basement has a Pittsburgh toilet (look it up if you're not familiar with), which you're more than welcome to use and is also connected to the garage.
The sun room is my favorite room of the house. It's hard to explain why I love it so much, aside from its coziness and great view overlooking the backyard.
Let's talk about the upstairs of the home, shall we?
To get upstairs, you'll need to go back to the front entrance. Immediately to the left of the family room is the staircase and foyer area. Please remove your shoes here. Before going upstairs, you'll notice something unique. "What's that?", you will say. This, my friends, is a 1903 NCR cash register. It's something that's been in the family for many, many years and I'm happy to tell you stories about it.
At the landing of the staircase you'll find the main bathroom. I love the bathroom! Blue and white tile from floor to ceiling. Yep! The tub is huge, too.
There are three bedrooms on the top floor, one which I use as my office, the other my bedroom (the room overlooking the front of the house). Now, let's talk about your room.
The following are included with your stay: comfortable queen bed with clean mattress, pillows, sheets (flannel in winter), comforter, central air-conditioning, towels, and wash cloths.
I recently completed the addition of a huge 24'x14' deck in the rear of the house. It's a perfect spot to relax!
I also frequently dine out and are more than happy to share restaurant/bar suggestions with you. If you didn't already know, Pittsburgh has wonderful restaurants and bars.
Free and fast Wi-Fi internet (Comcast). Laundry facilities are available for an additional charge of $1 per load.

I can't say enough good things about staying at Jonathan's B&B. It a lovely house, immaculately clean - I've never seen a cleaner house in fact! Jonathan is a very kind and generous person. It was my first time in Pittsburgh and he really relieved all the stress for me- way way beyond the call of duty. He made my trip a calm experience- which I totally appreciated. I would recommend his B&B wholeheartedly and a big Thank You to him.
From the start of my reservation Jonathan was already helpful and generous. When I arrived he wasn't there, but when he did come home he made sure to introduce himself and we chatted for a bit. We actually chatted at the end of the day during my whole stay. The house was more then i imagined, felt very cozy. Even though my host did say to make myself at home and help myself to fruit, coffee etc., I still tried to treat it as if I was in a hotel and tried to keep everything as neat as it was when i arrived. The neighborhood was sweet, I arrived and kids were playing basketball in the street with their dad. That made me feel even more at ease, to know the neighborhood was family oriented.
Jonathan was the perfect host for our 36-hours in Pittsburg en route to South Carolina. His Waldorf Street family home was a successful first Airbnb. Without Jonathan and his quiet spacious house it wouldn't have been as memorable a visit. Jonathan happily shared with us his extensive experience of life in Pittsburg and his suggestions allowed us to take short-cuts everywhere. You need a car in Pittsburg: you drive to different areas, then walk. But the road system is very efficient and we found the traffic relatively light. So, following a plan written out for us by Jonathan, in one day we visited the Mattress Factory (an absolute must for anyone interested in modern Art), the Strip for a really lively market experience and a top-class sushi restaurant, the Incline for an astonishing mountainside view of an American downtown core, and a bubbling downtown Italian restaurant. We sat next to two diners who were actually on their way to a Neill Diamond concert! Yes, he’s still singing.
As much as this beautiful artistic city, I think we’ll remember Jonathan’s own story and the history of his house (the beautiful cash register and its family story has to catch your eye at the foot of the stairs). And the story of Jonathan building his deck with an almost Frank Lloyd Wright ambition. From the moment he agreed to host us, and quickly answered our first online queries, he was our guide and source for Pittsburg, all of which panned out for us. He really understood what we were interested in and tuned right in. This is a town to visit and this is a host you’ll love staying with. He really rocks! What a visit. Thanks.
Our experience at Jonathan's place was really good. The home was very beautiful with a nice deck and clean as in the pictures. He even offered complimentary coffee and bread. His place is well connected hence very convenient. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay and would visit again.
Jonathan was waiting when I arrived, and he set the door password to a number related to me so that I remember. His home is nice and quiet, the room I stayed is spacious, clean and quiet. His house is super easy to get around, to downtown, airport or other parts of the city. Jonathan was very kind to drive me to 28X bus as it was a bit raining in the morning. I really enjoyed staying there.
Jonathan was as gracious as could be. He offered to help in any way he could. And the towels were curled up in an interesting way.
I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at Jonathan's house. He was very welcoming from the moment we arrived even meeting us outside on the porch. He even baked us banana bread! The place was immaculately clean from top to bottom and the space is quite beautiful. Being 10 minutes from the city was distant enough to get quiet when trying to relax but close enough to make it anywhere in a moments notice. He gave us great recommendations and knows the city very well. I would definitely suggest it to anyone passing through this great city.

Hi. I'm Jonathan. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my listing. If you're like me when traveling, you're looking for a unique, clean, and inexpensive property to rest your feet during your travels. Go no further, because you've found the place!
I've lived in Pittsburgh for almost 10 years, so I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the city's history, restaurant options, neighborhood offers, and so forth. Know that I'm here to assist you in any capacity prior or during your travels.
There are plenty of unique Airbnb properties in Pittsburgh. That said, I never take a reservation for granted. Not only are you allowing me to share my home with you in a wonderful city, but you are helping me to afford the sometimes very costly utility bills that it takes to keep the property running.
I greatly appreciate your business, time, and support. I look forward to meeting you soon!
