About this listing
Welcome to Tampa Bay! Our home, including two guest rooms, is yours while you are here. It's central to everything Tampa Bay and is 1 hour 20 minutes from Orlando. We are a married couple that lives in the opposite end of the home.
One room is decorated with a beach theme and opens to the pool and lanai. The other has a safari theme. There is a full bath located between the bedrooms for your exclusive use. We don't host more than one group at a time so you will never share space with people you aren't with.
In addition to the rooms, there is a family room with a fireplace and 50" TV with XBOX 360 and several games that you are free to use. The kitchen and dining room are also yours to use during your stay. There is also a wet bar that you are free to partake from.
We have an office which you can use to plan your activities, print boarding passes, etc.
We are members of the Lowry Park Zoo and have 2 free admission passes worth $50 which you are free to use.
If you are renting a car, don't bother paying extra for a Sunpass transponder to pay for tolls, we have one you can use.
We are located in a quiet neighborhood near a golf course, tennis courts, ponds, a hiking trail and a YMCA. The home is central to many area destinations:
About 15 minutes: Big Cat Rescue, Airheads, Tampa International Airport, Raymond James Stadium, Lowry Park Zoo.
About 30 minutes: Clearwater Beach, Downtown Tampa, Ybor City, Tabanero Cigars, Tampa Bay Aquarium, Columbia Restaurant, Seminole Casino, Busch Gardens, St. Petersburg
You will be 1 hour 18 minutes from Orlando.

Interaction with Guests
We live in the house and can socialize or leave you alone depending on what you would prefer. We do love to entertain. If you let us smoke some pulled pork and serve tropical drinks, we'll all be happy.
There are ponds, walking trail, golf course and exclusive tennis courts, basketball courts with a playground and barbecue area within walking distance. A YMCA is a 5 minute drive away.
A car is required.
Other Things to Note
The bed in the Safari Room is "Queen" sized. The Beach Room bed has a "full" size mattress. So if you are exceptionally tall your feet might stick out a little. But it is brand new along with the sheets and pillows.
Smoking outside is fine. We can cook meals as schedule permits. You may use bar. Pets 20 pounds and below are welcome.
When I realized that my wonderful, yet rather loud family and I would be staying at a home with the owners inside the house, I admit I panicked a little. With three adults, a teenage nephew, an infant nephew and a 2 yr-old niece that has unlimited energy, volume and curiosity, I got a little stressed. Happily, the couple we stayed with were simply wonderful – and they were from Seattle, as well! Small world indeed. Aaron and Sophia were incredibly gracious and seemingly unfazed by my chaotic brood. To say they were good sports is a huge understatement. They were even happy to place fragile household articles out of reach for the safety of my little niece and nephew. The house itself was comfortable and the pool was terrific. Given the fact it rained and/or was overcast during virtually our stay, we had to get creative with how we could entertain everyone. But it was comforting knowing we were staying in a safe, comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood.
Welcome To Tampa Bay! That is a sign that should be on the door and posted online too, because not only were we welcomed into the beautiful home of two wonderful hosts, but also were able to experience the beauty and variety of the Tampa Bay area. The listing is only the tip of what is waiting for anyone desiring a full experience of this well-appointed center of peace, rest and entertainment. Baseball, Beach, and Busch Gardens ... those were our tentative three-day plans for our stay in this quiet, easily-accessible neighborhood. Because of the rain, however, our beach plans were scratched, but thankfully the pool was the savior, and we even had time to catch a great movie at a local theater. Aaron and Sophie helped us set up camp for a group of five, including our daughter and two energetic grandsons, aged 12 and 14, and were invaluable links to this enjoyable trip to the Florida West Coast. We definitely will return to taste all we missed. Hopefully, we will someday get to see some football, hockey, beaches, and experience the vibes of the city of Tampa too. Seriously thinking of purchasing a home in the area ourselves in the future. Thank you Airbnb for this wonderful bargain opportunity, and our hosts, Aaron & Sophie for opening your home and making us feel like family. Well ... back to the daily grind ... see you again soon Tampa!
Wonderful, comfortable house in a great part of Tampa. Only about 10 minutes from where a whole bunch of restaurants, bars, bakeries and places like that. Aaron and his wife are great hosts, and I wish I was staying an extra day or two because they have a beautiful pool in their screened in porch.
Aaron and his wife's home was great! They were both very nice, and even made us breakfast one morning. We used the pool several times to relax in the heat, and even came back home to moonlit candles one night. Beautiful home & great hosts, I would highly recommend people stay here!
We loved staying at Aaron's and Sofia's place, it is such a beautiful and spacious house, everything is clean and the neighbourhood is very peaceful. Our kids loved the pool, it was always the first thing they asked about every morning. We had our privacy but as well were happy to have a breakfast with Aaron and enjoy waffles he prepared for us. He and Sophie were very helpful, gave us plenty of tips even prior our arrival. It was great start of our 4 weeks vacations in USA and if we are again in Tampa we will definitely come back. Aaron and Sophie - thank you again!
Our stay with Aaron and Sophie was exceptional. Their house was beautiful, comforting and superbly immaculate. With only two minor decorative changes the house was toddler safe (1 and 2 year old). Aaron and Sophie were two of the most gracious and interesting hosts. We barely saw them although their company would have been welcomed. The neighborhood was incredibly quiet, safe and centrally located. The house was spacious and most certainly larger than what we would have had if we rented a hotel. Thank you for a most delightful first time experience with Airbnb.
This lovely house and the Family Aaron and his wonderful wife are for sure Superhosts. Days before Arrival, he contacted us to make sure, that everything will be in time. After Arrival, he brought us on our correct way. Than they welcomed us and gave us a Hand by ordering a late dinner after 21 hours of travelling. The house is wonderful and clean!!!!, even better than pictured. He gave us perfect tips for the 4th july, what to do and where to see the Parade and the fireworks. Wonderful experience for us Austrian. If somebody is looking for a Superhost Family. With them you are right. If we will come back some day, we definetely will stay with them again, but some more days, for sure!!!
Thank you Dear for everything, the Pictures will follow, if journey is finished.

About the Host, Aaron
I am a software engineer, recently relocated to Tampa from Seattle. I work at an insurance company and my wife works for an airline. We both love to travel so we decided to open up our extra rooms to fellow travelers. I would say flying airplanes and computers are my biggest passions, and travel is my wife's.
