Metro Bus System
Three types of bus service are available throughout the Greater Los Angeles area. With 200 different lines, buses travel all over the city to every major destination including state parks, area attractions and shopping districts.
Metro Local (painted orange) makes frequent stops along major streets throughout the city.
Metro Rapid (painted red) offers fewer stops and expedited travel times on the city’s major streets, with the use of special transponders that cause traffic signals to favor the bus.
Metro Express (painted blue) offers reduced stop service along the city’s freeway systems.
Metro Rail System
Six fast, easy-to-use and environmentally friendly color-coded subway, light-rail and rapid bus transit lines offer visitors an affordable way of getting from one destination to the next.
The Metro Blue Line (light rail) runs north and south between Long Beach and LA.
The Metro Green Line (light rail) runs east and west between Norwalk and Redondo Beach.
The Metro Red Line (subway) meets the Blue Line in LA and provides service through Downtown, the Mid-Wilshire area, Hollywood and the San Fernando Valley, where it meets the Metro Orange Line (rapid bus transit), which runs from North Hollywood to the Warner Center in Woodland Hills.
The Metro Purple Line (subway) runs between Union Station, Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue.
The Metro Gold Line (light rail) connects with the Red Line at Union Station and runs to Pasadena.
The sofa turns into a full size bed. We also have two sleeping mats in the closet for extra guests.
We had a great stay at Satbir's wonderful home. We had everything we needed for an introduction 2 month stay to LA. Satbir was always available for anything we needed. Everything was comfortable, the neighborhood is friendly and very convenient!
I was looking for something clean and classy, more or less equidistant from USC and UCLA, and this apartment worked out perfectly. Easy street parking, a lovely courtyard, and a sort of vintage feel. Satbir was very easy to reach. Thumbs up!
Large open space, comfortable bed and sofa, nice wall art. Easy walking distance to the LA museums on Wilshire and several very good restaurants. Good on street parking and nice neighborhood for dog walking.
Satbir's house was beautifully decorated and made for a very relaxing and enjoyable stay in Los Angeles. I would definitely book his place again the next time I'm visiting. Very charming and peaceful.
I stayed here with my daughter in mid March 2014, I can recommend it highly, the location was perfect for us, it is about 10-15' drive to Disney Hall downtown where I went every day and about 20-30' depending on traffic to Venice Beach where my daughter spent a lot of time; also just a few minutes to Whole Foods in West Hollywood where we went for groceries; we walked to LACMA and there is public transit nearby. The house is very comfortable and very spacious with all the amenities you'd expect, the kitchen well equipped and with a well stocked pantry, including a large selection of spices and condiments, an assortment of good quality teas and even Illy coffee with the appropriate Italian coffee maker etc. and our host Satbir was very helpful and attentive to all our needs.
I hope it will be available again when I return to LA in a few months.
Bravo to Satbir and his wife, great hosts!!
Had a wonderful stay here! Host made access very simple and the place is very well kept. Great unique art throughout the entire place. I would definitely stay here again.
Booked here as a last minute trip to LA and Satbir was able to accommodate very efficiently. The place was clean, simple and located in a great/ safe area. Felt like it was home. I will stay here again.
