The perimeter is covered with a Passion vine, blooms year round with purple blooms, so hopefully inspires passion to our vacationers. You may enjoy your gourmet breakfast served in your private outdoor dining room or unlock your door and share in the insi
The space is set up to be totally private, there is a separate entrance, though it's seldom used. A perk I didn't realize would come with my airbnb guests is: Most of them are very sociable and willing to share a meal and stories of their lives and the amazing places they have been. I'm totally blown away with my guests, the meal is complimentary and easily worth it for the stories you share. You may enjoy a private breakfast if you prefer, served outside on the Patio with only the birds for company.
It's what I do when I don't have guests so I can highly recommend it. So your pick of either a breakfast or dinner with your stay.
There is a washer and dryer and a lovely living room w/ fireplace to use, there's also a large park across the street for walking a small dog if you travel with your pet. The park has two tennis courts, a lake, Little League Baseball games, and an oval track for running laps and is about 100 yards from your front door.
Interaction with Guests
You may use this vacation spot in total privacy, it's set up to be self contained, however you may enjoy the entire downstairs as almost entirely yours as I have a full apt. upstairs where I spend the majority of my time, you will see me on the computer upstairs in the open loft or in the kitchen where you're welcome to join in, but 99% of the time the downstairs is yours to enjoy. I've enjoyed some amazing meals with my guests, so it's up to you how much socializing you want, a private meal or I'll invite friends and we can have good food and lively conversation.
We are 2 minutes from Dale Mabry, one of Tampa's main streets. Many restaurants and stores line this avenue and we are minutes away from the airport and International Mall, one of Florida"s high end malls. Wonderful shopping and restaurants. 10 minutes from Busch Gardens and the Interstate to take you to other Florida attractions. 10 minutes to downtown or 15 to 20 min. during rush hour
There is a bus stop at the corner of Busch and Armenia, though a car comes in handy. If you are using this for a stay in vacation and only occasionally need to get to the store or a restaurant , we will be glad to take you.
Other Things to Note
We have cats and I wouldn't recommend anyone with allergies booking this. The cats don't come in your room, but may wonder through the garden though they are skittish around people and probably won't be in the garden during your visit. I am obsessively clean, feed them upstairs, their litter box is also located upstairs behind closed doors in a bathroom with an air ventilator and maniacally maintained.
Only rule is no smoking please, even outside as the smoke wafts through the upstairs window. Actually there are two rules: You are not allowed to be uncomfortable so please voice your concerns.
My son had a wonderful stay and he remarked on what a great lady Lynne was towards him. He'd definitely go back and I'd love to stay and meet her in the future.
My husband and I spent two nights at this property and very much enjoyed the lovely accommodations, as well as the company of our sweet and gracious host, Miss Lynne! The room is set at the back of the house and comes with enough closet and bathroom space to please even the most excessive over-packer. Every inch was clean and tidy, and handwritten notes were in place to let us know all we needed about the TV, the WiFi, and the fact that we were welcome to help ourselves to anything in the kitchen. Not much need for that, however, as the room's mini-fridge was well stocked with fruit and cheese — a very nice treat to partake of after our first late night out. French doors at the end of the very soft bed open onto the backyard where squirrels and birds seemed always in attendance. Because there is a clear path from the front yard to the back, these doors can easily be used as a private entrance to the room — but truth be told, Miss Lynne was so friendly and welcoming that we never felt the need to use them as such! One morning she treated us to a delicious breakfast (on Wedge Wood china!) — outdoors in the shade of her potted garden. We all sat and talked together for a good hour and a half, over what my husband and I agreed was THE BEST COFFEE he or I have ever tasted! For more private sorts, we can assure you Miss Lynne was never overly doting and not at all intrusive. She simply goes above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable and feeling right at home for the length of your stay. All in all, Miss Lynne's place is as cheerful and inviting as she herself is, and that is saying a great deal. We were delighted to be her guests and would visit again in a heartbeat!
Thank you, I am so overwhelmed with the perfect gifts you gave me and now this incredible review, how did I get so lucky? A hardbound book by Neil Gaiman, (his latest) was too much, but the bottle of wine in the shape of a cat, how amazingly perfect. I will never forget you, the most perfect couple ever. I have started The Ocean at the end of the Lane and next onto Trigger Effect, how did you know I'm a fiend for hardback books? Actually the pleasure of your company was plenty, you were so complimentary and included me in your trip and showed me the video of Neil Gaiman. You were quite magical. Please come back anytime.
This was my wife and i's first airbnb, and she was a little skeptical. We went for it and Lynne effortlessly converted us. This place is without a doubt a Ritz Carlton of airbnb's. Such a cozy and warm room, spacious, all the ammenities you could expect plus many that you might not; fine cheese platter, fresh fruit platter, bottle of wine, very very clean, large private bathroom, toiletries galore, walk-in closet; she made us a breakfast by her own hands which blew us away; she is such a genuine host i would pay anyones stay if they came out unsatisfied from staying with her. It's a no brainer. Truly phenomenal and will definitely stay there again soon!
Her experience having traveled the world has served her so well that she is able to provide evrything you may want before you even ask or think to ask. Thank you Lynne for your kindness and hope you can continue to convert many more first timers as my wife and I.
I am so touched by your compliments, thank you so much David and Angie. You do know how easy you are to host and thank you so much for the generous gratuity, all the compliments plus a tip, you are too much, the ideal guests. Also once again, congratulations for your recent graduation from Medical School. I wish you and Angie the happiest of lives.
This was my first airbnb experience, and it exceeded my expectations. The room is lovely with ample privacy and access to an outdoor space. Lynne is an amazing host and prepared a much appreciated cheese and fruit plate after a long day at a conference. I stayed with my fiancé and had peaceful sleep and great visit to Tampa!
Staying at Lynne's was a dream come true! I cannot tell you how many times I have been disappointed with paying too much money for a hotel or a traditional B&B just to feel uncomfortable. Lynne's place was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. She was welcoming and kind to our dogs. She was more than accommodating and even made us biscotti for our drive home! (I'm going to demand the recipe, by the way.) The breakfast she made for us was one of the best we've had in months. The location was perfect for getting around town. The room itself was spacious, well stocked, and perfect for our weekend stay. Although, I could envision us staying there for even longer. In fact, I told Lynne before we left that if we ever get jobs in Tampa, we may just move in permanently.
Lynne was a great host. She made us feel very welcome. The room was a little cramped for two people but is very lovely decorated. She really make you feel at home. The next day she cooked us a beautiful breakfast that we enjoyed outside on her patio surrounded by plants. It was awesome, a really great experience for us.
Thank you for staying, I know what you mean, but a guest asked me for a desk and I recently purchased one and even though it is small it does crowd the room. If you open the french doors it expands your room and you can move the large chair and ottoman outside. Next time and I hope you come back you were great guests.
Exactly as I expected from the posting and reviews. A precious retreat in the city of Tampa, close to downtown! Walking into the room I felt very welcome by Lynne's personality, the cleanliness and tasty snacks! My husband loved the unique cheeses! Lynne is a great host and can read well when to give space and company. The dinner she prepared was delicious and filled with engaging conversation! I definitely recommend a stay here :)
I'm experiencing a rebirth through my airbnb guests, each one so interesting and well traveled. I've been in all the US states and surrounding countries but never Europe and now Europe comes to me. I've been lucky to have skied in all the western resorts and I Sky-dived for 5 years in my youth. Now I stay at home with my cats and wait for exciting travelers to come and visit. I'm also an avid reader and love offbeat movies. So come and share your stories with me.
